Immediately after your appointment: You may begin to see lymph fluid surfacing on the brow area. Using extreme care, gently blot the treated are with a clean tissue or a water wipe once every hour for the first 24 hours. (NEVER SCRUB OR RUB) your new brows! Note: if the oozing lymph fluid dries up on your eyebrows it will create massive scabs that can results in loss of pigment. 2. Starting 1 hour after your appointment: Wash your eyebrows with a gentle cleanser and continue to cleanse morning and night for the next 7 days (or until scabbing begins) to remove bacteria and build up. Do not use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or aha) and do not use exfoliants.OUTSIDE OF THE SHOWER.Wash your hands.With a dime sized amount of soap and a few drops of COOL water, gently swipe in the direction of your brow hair. It's a LIGHT swipe, just to help remove excess oil, oozing etc.RINSE THOROUGHLY, BUT GENTLY. Cup your hands with cool water and rinse to make sure all soap is removed. Be ready to dry immediately, we do not want to keep the brows wet for an extended period of time.GENTLY pat dry with a clean paper towel.3. Moisturize: After each wash it is very important to let the brows dry completely before you add moisturizer then use a sterile Q-tip and GENTLY dab (DO NOT RUB) the balm provided onto your brows using an amount equivalent to the size of half a grain of rice for each brow. (If you use the correct amount you will not see a glossy or globby look on your brows and you will have enough balm left over to use for the touchup).4. Day 5-12 (peeling/flaking phase): Once this process begins you can discontinue washing and keep moisturizing your brows. It is imperative to refrain from picking or scratching at the scabs. DO NOT sleep on your face, please try everything possible to refrain from to refrain from rolling on to your face in your sleep. Failure to allow the skin to shed itself naturally will result in pigment loss and can cause scarring. To help alleviate the itching and tightness that comes with this stage of healing you may apply a very small amount of the brow balm (half grain of rice).When your brows are no longer flaky (typically between day 10-14) this phase of healing is complete and you can resume to regular activities. You will still want to avoid all products on them that include active ingredients (acne or anti aging products, salicylic acid, etc.) and protect your fresh brows from UV exposure.WHAT TO AVOID DURING THE EYEBROW HEALING PHASE (10-14 days or until the end of flaking):No getting them wet other then the required washing mentioned. This includes shower, swimming, sauna, hot tub, etc. Minimize showers to 5 minutes and lower the temperature as much as possible. Do not allow soap or water stream to hit your brows. Lean back to wash your hair and rinse without allowing soap or water stream to touch your brows.No sweating, exercise, working out or hot yoga. The salt in sweat and the stress of heavy lifting can hinder the healing and reduce the pigment retention. No UV exposure or tanning beds.No laser light therapy and no facials for 30 days.No Makeup, Lotion, Face Wash, Serums, Shampoo, Conditioner, etc.No use of Neosporin or Petroleum based products other than healing cream.No threading, waxing or removal products.No anti-aging products or facial products containing alpha hydroxyls (ahas), retin-A, lactic or glycolic acids.Do not apply any anti-acne products (e.g. Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, proactiv, etc.) or lightening creams (skin bleaching creams) such as hydroquinone to the treated area while healing.Do not bleach, tint or dye the tattooed area.ONCE EYEBROWS ARE HEALEDExposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, always apply sunscreen (50 spf or greater) on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.Glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, and chemical face peel products and exfoliants must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten the pigment. If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment no sooner than 6-8 weeks later. There are no implied or written guarantees if you do not take care of your tattoo.WHAT TO EXPECTImmediately following your procedure, the tattooed area will appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. This can last up to a week after the procedure while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort.During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still generating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only 6-8 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done.Brow tattoos normally last 1-2 years depending on lifestyle, skin type and aftercare.

Lip PRE and POST CARE (please read before proceeding)LIP CAREUnlike other parts of the face, lips are muscles without follicles. Lips have very large blood supply. The percentage of pigment retention on the vermilion border (lip liner) verses the vermilion tissue (lips) is very different. Vermilion border will have much greater color retention than the vermilion tissue. Lip pigmentation heals very different from the eyeliner and eyebrows. Due to the fact that the lips are constantly in motion (eating, drinking, talking), the healing process can be interrupted (lip cracking, etc.). It is highly advised to keep the lips moist at all times to prevent discomfort.LIP PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONSAvoid the following treatments within 4 weeks of the procedure:Botox and/or cosmetic fillers around or on the area of the procedure.Chemical peels and/or Laser Treatments.Retin-A and/or Accutane.Steroids.Antibiotics.ONE WEEK BEFORE THE TREATMENT:Before going to bed for at least 5 nights prior to the procedure, exfoliate lips with a natural scrub (sugar and coconut oil)Apply Vaseline or Bephanten Lip Cream (can be found on Amazon) after exfoliating the lips.Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day for hydration and improved lip surface.24 to 72 hours before the treatment:Avoid heavy sunlight, tanning beds or getting sunburn 3 days before the procedure. Please start taking your medication 5 days prior to your procedure and a few days after or as advised by your doctor.Please do not work out the day of the procedure!LIP AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONChange your pillowcase when you get home. You do not want any previous body oils or cosmetics to rub in to your new permanent cosmetics. Please be advised that any pigment residue could stain your pillowcase for at least 1 week after your appointment.Day of the procedure: Lips will feel swollen, dark and very dry after your treatment. Pat lips gently with a wipe or tissue to remove excess lymph every hour or so on the first day. You may also apply ice packs to help if they are very swollen.Day 2-3: Start applying a moisturizing lip ointment twice a day to moisten and loosen body fluids to prevent them from forming a crust. Allow lips to dry for 5 minutes prior to applying your aftercare lip balm. This should be done for at least 5-6 days post treatment.Day 4: Apply a moisturizing lip ointment at night to prevent scabs and dryness throughout the day, continue to apply it for the entire week until the area is completely healed. Always use a Q-tip to apply the ointment. Once the lips are no longer tender, they may become flaky. This is normal.Do not pick or scratch them. Doing so can significantly reduce the amount of pigment that stays in the skin.WHAT TO AVOID DURING LIP HEALING PHASEAvoid the sun and tanning beds pre and post procedure.Be sure to use sunscreen once lips are healed.Avoid direct water pressure and submerged swimming until healed.Keep lips and mouth as clean as possible to avoid bacteria and infection on the treated area.Try to avoid spicy or acidic foods until healed.Rule of thumb: If your personal lipgloss or lip products sting or burn your lips, toss it back in your drawer for another week. Redness, swelling, tenderness and dryness are all common post treatment side effects and will dissipate in a short period of time. Fever blisters are a known side effect of all lip procedures. You can see your doctor for pre-procedure medications to avoid an outbreak.ONCE LIPS ARE HEALEDAlways apply UV protection to avoid premature fading of the pigment.WHAT TO EXPECTLips heal in three stages:Day 1-3: Too bright (immediately after procedure)Day 4-10: Too light (after sloughing)Day 10-28: Just right and more natural (in about 20 days)The older the client, the longer the healing period will take. Waiting an extra week before any touchup is advised for clients over 50 years of age. This extra week will allow the restoration of the natural collagen to the lip tissue.The healing of the lips:Why do lips appear pale after the first week? There is extra pigment trapped in the epidermis that sheds off in the first week, then the actual healing begins. As skin encapsulates the pigment area, it may appear very opaque. This is normal. Pigment is now being viewed under the skin. As the natural healing proceeds, dead skin cells will slough off in about 1-2 weeks. After, you will see a nice, healed color to expect a true lipstick look. Lipstick is worn typically on the skin. Permanent lip procedure pigment is viewed under the skin surface.During the healing process, the lip pigments used will revert back to their original state, which is powder. Clients need to understand that lip procedures do not replace makeup. In fact, it is advised to wear some type of lipgloss to enrich the color of the pigment.These pigments can last a few years or indefinitely, depending on the skin tone and intensity of the color that is used. Lighter skin tones will not hold the color as long as darker skin tones and may require occasional touch-ups to prolong the results of the procedure.

Do not use any ointments. This will create more swelling and take longer to heal. You can use ice packs for the first 48 hours for 15 minutes; you can also take Ibuprofen pills on the first day for discomfort. Change your pillowcase and avoid germs and pets around the area for 3 days. Clean with tepid ice water and pat dry.Day 3-4: Start ointment on 3rd or 4th day. Apply thin layer of ointment 2 to 3x daily for 3 to 4 days.Do not scrub. Do not sleep on your face. You can shower normally. Keep treated area clean at all times.Do not wear mascara or makeup for at least 5 days. Stay away from the waterproof mascara for 2 weeks.Do not heat up body temperature (no exercising, hot showers, saunas) for 7 days.All the particulars... no picking, no swimming, etc.No Latisse or lash extensions for 4 full weeks.
