Performance Coaching with Dr Shelen: Academic & Career A one-to-one collaborative and interactive process with the ultimate goal of assisting fresh graduates and working adults with a wide array of career-related issues and in finding greater fulfilment in your careers by establishing professional goals, creating a plan and overcoming obstacles that may be in the way. We are here to support you with all of these concerns and more. We work with you to reflect on your abilities and motivators, for transition to a role more aligned with your passions, skills and values, for not only career success but also personal fulfilment. Topics discussed during coaching are based on your needs. Common topics we encounter are feelings of overwhelm, the perfectionism demon, physical and mental burnout, work-family-school life balance, managing projects, developing good research skills, making sustained progress, handling feedback, developing higher order thinking skills and effective strategies for study materials.
