The Student Engagement Team are here to support you throughout your time at UCB, ensuring you have a direct point to discuss any challenges you may be facing throughout your studies. We offer 1-1 coaching, working with you to develop goals that will support your personal and academic development. We organise events and workshops to enhance the student experience aiming to assist the university in creating an inclusive and supportive campus.

Hi, I came into university as a mature student with limited qualifications. Since then, I have managed to complete a BSc in Sports Therapy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, and an MSc in Sports Injury Rehabilitation. I have experience of working in many university support departments, as well as teaching teams.

Hi, my name is Eleah! I’m a member of the Student Engagement Team here at University College Birmingham.
I spent 4 years studying at university in Birmingham myself so understand first-hand many of the challenges that students face, particularly in the areas of mental health and well-being.
I’ve spent the last couple of years working with higher education students to help support them through their academic journeys, providing guidance and working collaboratively to figure out solutions to personal and studies related problems.

Hi, my name is Dayna and I’m a Student Engagement officer here at the University. My role here is to support students settle into your new academic journey.
I studied at the University of Wolverhampton, so I understand the challenges students can go through while at university, especially moving from a different country as I have done this myself!
Since graduating, I have worked with higher education students in accommodation settings and more recently within a Students Union, providing support to all students but particularly to international students, supporting their journey and helping them settle into life in the UK.

Hi, my name is Sanna, and I am a Student Engagement Officer at the University College Birmingham, and I am here to support students with their queries and challenges.
Having spent 3 years undertaking a bachelor’s degree in law at the City University of London, I can understand the problems students face on a day-to-day basis. Particularly when trying to balance your academic, social and work life.
