Your first session is always a detailed birth chart, as well as an overview of current astrological influences as this is necessary to work with you.  This lays an essential foundation for future sessions, and help us get in touch with your "Authentic Self".  From an esoteric point of view, your chart represents the "intent of incarnation" and carries with it the soul's purpose.  Often, the "Conditioned Self" or what I refer to as "the YOU that life has caused you to become"  and leaves us feeling a bit lost, or off track.  Your first session is a real affirmation of who you are and why you are here.  Your Destiny, from the viewpoint of Esoteric Astrology, is to discover the "Authentic Self" or the Spark of Divinity within that is being expressed at YOU and discovering how you can contribute this unique expression to the world.   After your initial session (usually about an hour to one and a half hours), sessions can explore whatever is important in your life right now, or simply look at your current direction.  Most of the time, your chart (when examined by a skilled astrologer), will review your current course in life, challenges, and give you greater insight into what is happening in your life.  It's your decision if you want to ask questions or simply allow your astrologer to explore what is happening to you.
