Upaya Yoga is a new yoga business based in Christchurch, New Zealand, offering grounding and accessible yoga classes. We teach yin yoga, hatha yoga, and vinyasa yoga, creating space for students of all levels to move, breathe, and reconnect with themselves in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.The name Upaya Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word upaya, meaning a journey with limitless potential. This reflects our belief that yoga is not about perfection, but about meeting yourself where you are and allowing growth to unfold naturally over time. Every class is an invitation to explore movement, stillness, and self-awareness in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.At Upaya Yoga, we focus on mindful sequencing, breath-led movement, and intentional rest. Our classes are designed to support both physical wellbeing and mental balance - whether you’re seeking deep relaxation through yin, steady strength through hatha, or creative flow through vinyasa.As a growing Christchurch yoga community, Upaya Yoga welcomes beginners, experienced practitioners, and anyone curious about starting their yoga journey.
