Welcome to Maths with Lois Maths is a subject which is often hated by many people as it is seen as difficult to understand. But understanding Maths is not as hard as it may seem and can be an amazing achievement for many. Even now when I finally understand a mathematical concept I feel a huge sense of achievement.A few of my personal achievements in Maths have been:Obtaining a First in my Maths degreeObtaining 100 in C3So what are you waiting for?! Come and let's work on your Maths together!Which Maths topics and levels can we study together?Tuition with me starts from Year 10/Grade 9 all the way to Adult level. I have students who are 15, and students who are 50! GCSE/IGCSE: All topics | All exam boards | All levelsA-Level: All core, mechanics, statistics and decision mathematics | All exam boards | All levelsIB: All topics | All levels Degree: Calculus and Analysis I & II, Operational Research, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics Adult: All topics | All levelsAbout MeHi! I'm Lois and I'm a professional Maths tutor. I've been teaching and tutoring for nearly 10 years now, but have focused on Maths for the past 5 years. Whilst obtaining my First Class Honours degree in BSc Mathematics, I lived and travelled around the USA and UK before moving to France to complete an MSc Finance. After this, I decided to volunteer for a few months, so moved to Tanzania for 3 months to teach entrepreneurial classes to young, disadvantaged youth in rural areas. Then, being the avid explorer that I am, I moved to Barcelona to work and experience the sun, sea and Spanish sangria, and am now travelling the world whilst tutoring Mathematics to lovely students like you! But enough about me, let's talk about you! I truly believe that everyone has the capability to be 'good' at Maths; it's just the way we've been taught which holds us back!Everyone learns differently, and that's okay. But traditional schooling doesn't allow for individual learning, and so because of this maybe you think you're not so good at Maths. But you're wrong... Book a trial session with me to find out why! Some good things to know before bookingI have a few class rules to make sure classes run as effectively and holistically as possible:Tools and Equipment - to make the most out of each online session, we need to be fully prepared. This means prior to our session you'll need to buy a few things: Maths exercise book, Index cards and a USB drawing pad (they start at around €30 on Amazon). Also optional are coloured pens! You will also need to have downloaded a few apps, but we'll talk about this more in our first lesson. Cancellation Policy - cancellations within 24 hours will be charged at the full rate, regardless of the reason! This is because you might have booked a sought-after time, meaning it cannot then be utilised by another student.Lateness - any time missed at the beginning of a session won't be carried over since usually classes are back-to-back. So make sure you're fully prepared and on-time!If you're unsure about any of these, it's best to book a trial session so we can talk through any questions and queries. See you soon!Nossa equipe
