I have worked in the Health and Fitness industry for over 20 years.  After finishing University in 2000, I landed my first job as a Lifeguard at The Cheltenham Ladies College and whilst I was there I began teaching exercise and fitness classes, which led me to training to become a gym instructor. 

Many years and jobs later I moved into teaching academically and delivering on the Undergraduate Health and Fitness course at the University of Gloucestershire training students to become Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers and Sports Massage Therapists.  More recently I have been involved with special population groups and utilising movement and exercise as a prevention and rehabilitation tool for anyone who has or is at risk of cardiovascular disease. I am passionate about using exercise as a way of controlling and developing both our physical and mental health.

I have been a CrossFit member since 2012 after moving up north, and after one class I was hooked. I love the challenge – nothing ever gets easier, I also love the community and the support that belonging to a gym gives you.  This led me to becoming a CrossFit Level 1 trainer in 2019 and I have been coaching ever since.
