I use a strength base approach. I am trained and specialize in EMDR to address trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and other challenging life events. I use and have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Brief Solution Focus.

I specialize in working with children starting at age 3, adolescents, and young adults. Utilizing Play Therapy techniques and Expressive Arts, I believe in letting your child be who they need to be so they can heal from anxiety, depression, or trauma. I will create that safe space they need to feel loved and accepted. And as parents, you will journey with us and learn how to help your child.

I also work with adults under age 40. Often in our 20's and 30's we're figuring out who we are or who we really want to be. Maybe you've accomplished what you set out to do, but are unsure why you're not happy. Maybe you haven't accomplished what you'd hoped and are ready to figure out what's holding you back. Maybe you just need a guide.

My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, the LGBTQ population, teenagers, college students, and adults. My style of therapy is pretty laid back and conversational. I also try to incorporate humor into my practice as I believe therapy doesn’t have to be serious all the time!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My expertise is in the areas of Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, chronic medical conditions, and Childhood Trauma. I am trained in Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders (FBT) also known as the Maudsley Method. I also specialize in working with children and families in transition due to separation and divorce.

I work from a developmental, dynamic and systemic perspective while utilizing cognitively informed behavioral strategies and interventions. In addition to talk therapy, I utilize art, play and sand tray therapy in my work with children and adolescents.
