Sunday Morning Service - 18 October 2020
Rupert went to the service today while Joanne watched it later online. All of the COVID-19 precautions were in place. The service was especially for the children and was explained very well by Rachel Hodge. The subject was Daniel and the Lions' Den. James Barnes performed a wonderful puppet show, starring "Grandpa" (himself.) The Worship Team was great and was led by Winston Cooper. The singers were Megan Cooper and James Barnes and Chloe Collins sang and played the keyboard. Rachel Hodge played the drums (yay!) The speaker was Lillian Warren who spoke on us being able to trust God for everything, no matter what.

Visit on Sunday October 11
First-time visiting Blackheath Baptist Church. We really enjoyed the service, all of the worship songs, and the strong/interesting message. The singers and musos were well-coordinated. The building was comfortable. In these Covid times and as locals it would be nice to connect with church family. Apart from the person signing us in, nobody spoke to us.

Blackheath Baptist Church Morning Service - 27 September 2020
Rupert attended the service while Joanne watched it online a few days later. All COVID-19 precautions were in place. The Worship Service was very beautiful and powerful, with Megan Cooper singing dramatically. Pastor Andy Collins and Melissa Collins spoke to us and prayed. Merrie Gilchrist spoke about Satan (Lucifer, who was a fallen angel.) She spoke about the Fall. The only hope for humanity is our Lord's death on the cross in our place.

Sunday Morning Service on 20 September 2020
We both really enjoyed this special Children's Service. All the COVID-19 precautions were correctly observed. Rachel Hodge and Siu Lin Double were involved and did a great job. James Barnes provided lots of laughter with his puppet "Grandpa."The children had a wonderful time with bubbles and they also took part in the service by praying. Members of the congregation and children waved beautiful flimsy banners around. James Barnes spoke about David and Goliath. Wow, what a story! One of the young boys climbed up on to a large ladder to show how tall the giant was. It was a very joyful service!

Sunday Morning Service - 20 September 2020
We both really enjoyed today's special Childrens Service. All the necessary precautions were taken in regard to COVID-19. Rachel Hodge and Siu Lin Double played a wonderful part. James Barnes presented "Grandpa" - a marvellous and jolly puppe. Some of the children took part in the service, which was great. Members of the congregation and the children waved filmy banners around and the children enjoyed the beautiful bubbles. Altogether, it was a wonderful, most joyful service.

Blackheath Baptist Church Sunday Morning Service 6 September 2020
lWe went to the morning service and really enjoyed it. All the COVID-19 precautions were in place. The Worship Team presented wonderfully, led by Jenny Bawden. Two singers were in separate rooms to back up the music. We particularly liked the Cornerstone chorus. Jacqueline Keeling read beautifully from John 11. Lillian spoke to us on the raising of Lazarus. She told us that she had been rather preoccupied with death and dying recently as she had to organise a small funeral for a relative of her late husband. She told us that in Biblical times mourning was very loud and fervent.

Blackheath Baptist Church Morning Service. 30 August 2020
We both attended the service and enjoyed it very much. All the COVID-19 precautions were in place. The Worship Team was excellent, and added wonderfully to the joyful experience. We are very grateful for all the background work that is being carried out with the technology. Jacqueline Keeling read from Matthew 16: 13-28. She reads beautifully. Matt Anslow was the speaker. The title was "Who do we THINK that Jesus is?" Jesus called Simon Peter the rock on which the church would be built. Peter is both an encouragement and a warning to us. True worship will transform us as we follow Him.

Morning Service - Sunday 23 August 2020
My husband, Rupert Elliott went to this service. I stayed home and watched it at a later time online. The music was wonderful, as well as the technical presentation. Melissa Collins told a wonderful true story which illustrated the wonder of God. They went on a boat to watch whales on the previous weekend. Beforehand Melissa prayed that they would see one. They saw many whales, a mother and baby and others. Some of them breached. The Captain of the boat told her that it had never happened like this before! Our Pastor, Andy Collins spoke on Matthew 6: 5-15 where Jesus spoke about the way we are to pray.

Blackheath Baptist Church Service
This morning was the first time in 5 months that we have been able to go physically to our church at Blackheath Baptist Church. It was a wonderful service and everything was conducted in accordance with the COVID-9 regulations. There were some technological problems, that were frustrating for the Worship Team and others taking part. They did handle these issues proactively. The message by Lillian Warren was very inspiring.
