About the company
Hi, I’m Mayesha! I am a qualified, trained, DBS checked tutor with experience in centre tuition as well as online one to one tuition for over 3 academic years. I’ve worked with kids from primary level up until A level. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at at a top renowned London university - King’s College London. Before my degree, I studied A-Level Mathematics, A level Biology and A Level Chemistry with AAA in each and achieved nines in all my sciences and maths. I particularly take pleasure in teaching chemistry and maths.
My approach:
I customise my teaching style to tailor your unique learning preferences and I like to work systematically to attain the results that you are aiming for and potentially higher. I believe in making lessons engaging and encourage you to embrace challenges, knowing that every effort contributes to progress. Constructive feedback is definitely crucial to help you improve and build confidence so if at any point you feel like something isn’t going the way you’d like it to, don’t hesitate to voice your concerns and let me know what you’d like me to do going forwards. Remember, I’m here to help you take charge of your learning and achieve your dream grades!
What a typical session looks like:
First sessions are focused on gauging the student's ability, understanding their specific needs and learning which techniques suit them best. Each session thereafter consists of content, active recall and exam practice. Homework is generally set after every session to develop that understanding further and to test your knowledge. All students will be able to track progress through my newly implemented checklist system that is based on their specific exam board. This helps take accountability and allows them to visually identify which areas need most work. Sessions can also include topic tests, recall methods and timed exam practice.
