Workshop Joy
I attended a Friday workshop as a beginner. It was a very positive experience. I had so much fun! Anna is a skilled and attentive instructor. She met me where I was at and moved me forward with patience, encouragement and kindness. Her son was also very helpful and a pleasant presence in the studio. I can’t wait to go back! They really do inspire learning, confidence and creativity.

Amazing class and fantastic instructor
I decided to take a ceramics class and looked up studios close to home. It was so fun. I haven’t thrown a pot on a wheel since college. It was like riding a bike. The equipment was easy to use and organized. They supplied an apron and towel. At the end we got to choose a tiny pot made by Ted to take home. I am excited to see what the finished pots will look like. Really fun experience! Thank you Ted!

PERFECT STUDIO!
I stopped into Norris because a good friend recommend them! I am a ceramist currently who needed some direction on throwing smaller objects. Mainly mugs with pulled handles with thinner walls. I was absolutely impressed with everything. Ted and Con are wonderful people (I still need to meet Anna) with so much patience. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have been to quite a few studios and feel that Norris is by far the most positive and comfortable place to go! I am so grateful for all the help I’ve received! I am planning to continue visiting! Thank you all so very much!

Perfect Puck :)
This was my first class at Norris Arts, I took the Intro/Beginner class. Excellent environment for different ways of learning, demo with entertaining narrative, directions in front of you, videos to watch before class, and hands on help if you ask. Fun! My success was a nice feeling of centering my clay perfectly on my third ball of clay even if I formed it into a awkward dish, progress isn't perfection. Looking forward to more classes.

It’s all about having fun!
A friend and I booked the 2-hour, 2-class session on Wednesday night. We had so much fun! It’s been 20 years since I threw clay on a wheel, but it was so great to get back into it. Ted was incredibly knowledgeable and so helpful! He taught us many different techniques in a short period of time. He was available to help, but not hovering, because that would be creepy. ???? He was encouraging and friendly. I would definitely recommend this studio! It’s awesome!!!

Old dogs . . .
My husband and I began the date night course last night and had a blast! Ted is so calm, patient and humorous and allowed us to explore and make our mistakes without judgment. And of course the mistakes were plentiful. We ended up with a few stubby bowls, and can't wait to glaze them and then get back to practice on the wheel. We would both highly recommend this fun laid back studio!

Creativity, Community and Fun!
As a virtual beginner who hadn’t touched a wheel in over a decade, I was looking for a community studio to refresh and expand my knowledge of this wonderful art form. Norris Arts has been the “home” I was looking for. They provide a great introductory curriculum taught by three incredibly knowledgeable master artists (Ted, Anna and Kahn) in a relaxed environment that welcomes each person to dive in, explore their creativity, and have fun while doing so. Ted’s mastery of wheel and his patient, non-judgmental teaching approach has helped build my confidence in throwing, such that I’m producing some nice pieces and growing my throwing skills. Kahn’s introduction to glazing ignited a passion for experimentation that has led to some lovely results (the disasters are all mine, LOL). Anna’s upbeat and supportive approach to teaching handbuilding allowed me to produce some nice pieces and design some of my own! The 301 sessions are my weekly fix where I make work and enjoy the community of other potters (far more experienced than me) and continue to grow my excitement for the art form. The Norris Arts studio is so well set up, anyone can walk in and find the tools, guidance, and materials they need to create beautiful pieces. I highly recommend Norris Arts to anyone who is looking for an exceptional creative experience!
