If you have been wondering what experience I have and what sets me apart, please meet my girl, Penelope.
I remember the day that I was able to take her home. She was exactly what I had been wanting. She was so small and so darn cute…she was perfect!
I got her when I first moved to Nashville, TN and she was my best friend. She went through everything with me and in turn, I went through it all with her. She even made the move to Cyprus with me!
During her last 7 or 8 years, she was diagnosed with diabetes. I was determined to give her the best quality of life that I possibly could.
Diabetes isn’t a death sentence for most humans. Why should it be for a dog?
I learned everything about canine diabetes. I tested her blood sugar at least twice a day, cooked and weighed out her food, and administered her insulin shots.
The veterinarians were amazed at how well and how long she had lived.
At the end, I could tell she was suffering, but she wouldn’t let go. We loved each other so very much.
I laid her to enteral rest in late June. She was nearly 16 years old. And it broke my heart, but it was the best decision for her.
When I tell you that I have a heart for animals. I mean it. They give us unconditional love and are innocents. For them, I can only return the same?
Penelope is one of several reasons why I can be trusted to provide loving and gentle care with your beloved fur baby.
