For the Out & Back adventure, you will park at the Howard Boat Ramp, receive a quick overview of paddle strokes (if needed) and then depart on your adventure from the easy to use the kayak launch. You will have plenty of time to explore the central or northern parts of the lake. Both sections have plenty of explorable coves where participants often see, Eagles, Herons, and Turtles. When your adventure is nearing its end, simply paddle back to the kayak launch and a member of our team will be there to greet you!Duration: Participants have 2 Hours for their adventureAll rentals include: Sit in or Sit on Kayak, Paddle, and PFDkayaks have a weight capacity of 265lbs

This workshop has been designed to provide evidence-based information and strategies to support families to ensure that their children reach their active play developmental milestones and foster a love of being active. This free workshop is designed for parents/carers of children aged 2 (or who are upwardly mobile) to 5 years – anyone who is interested can attend. This workshop is for parents and caregivers whose child has been referred into the Child Development Service for Occupational Therapy. Hands On is an interactive 2-hour workshop for parents designed to explore the skills necessary for the development of fine motor skills. Hands On is designed and run by Occupational Therapists who will explain the underlying skills necessary when completing fine motor activities, as well as, providing practical examples that can be easily completed within everyday routines.

This one-off workshop has been designed to provide evidence based information and strategies for families starting to introduce solids to their baby. Parents will have an opportunity to gain and share knowledge with other parents about how their baby grows and develops. This free workshop is designed for parents of babies aged 4-9 months - anyone who is interested can attend. It is being run jointly by speech pathologists from the Child Development Service and dietitians from ACT Heath. Information covered will include: readiness signs for solids, seating and positioning for meals, first foods, moving on from smooth purees, introducing finger foods, creating positive mealtimes and cup drinking.
