Your physiotherapist will then adapt the shockwave therapy treatment to your current needs.Current Shockwave ResearchDouble-blind, randomized, controlled studies, indicate up to 91% improvement with 84% success rate for numerous conditions.Shockwave therapy is a proven effective treatment supported by medical literature. Shockwave MedicPhysio’s devices are proven to be highly successful in treating patients. What Is Shockwave Therapy?A Non-Invasive Treatment That Brings Patients Back to Health Sooner Shockwave Therapy Benefits:Non-invasive, non-surgical treatment. No shockwave therapy side effects. Accelerates healing. Can be used by all healthcare professionals. Coverage available from most insurance companies. How Shockwave Therapy Works? We know shockwave therapy is effective – but how exactly does it work? Shockwave therapy accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Strong energy pulses are applied to the affected area for short periods of time, creating micro-cavitation bubbles that expand and burst. The force created by these bubbles stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing. Shockwave therapy is the most effective in cases where the human body has not been able to heal itself on its own. In shockwave therapy, an acoustic pressure wave is transmitted to the body tissue and, consequently, to the painful area. The pressure wave created at the point of contact transmits radially inside the patient’s body.Shockwave Therapy TreatmentsShockwave therapy was initially introduced as a way to break down kidney stones without direct contact. It then evolved to treat non-healing bones by activating osteoblasts. Today it treats a wide range of medical conditions, including:Plantar fasciitisAchilles tendinopathyJumper’s knee (patellar tendonitis)Treatment of tendinopathyHamstring muscle injuriesMyofascial trigger pointsBursitisStiff big toe (hallux rigidus)Non-healing ulcersTendonitisScar tissueCalcific tendonitis of the rotator cuffFrozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)Broken bones that have failed to heal (nonunions)Shoulder painTennis elbowHeel spursShin splintsStress fracturesEnhancing bone healingMuscle and connective tissue injuriesAnd moreShockwave Therapy Side Effects and TimeframesA shockwave is an intense, but very short, energy wave travelling faster than the speed of sound. Because it is so powerful, most patients who undergo shockwave treatment recover faster than those treated by other methods. Shockwave therapy sessions are usually 5 minutes long and provide successful relief and restore mobility painlessly. Relief typically begins about immediately following the treatment. Most patients require three treatments sessions. There is no downtime for recovery. There are no shockwave therapy side effects. Treatments are non-invasive and promote accelerated recovery of injured soft tissue, bone, and joint pain.Scientific IndicationsBefore and after treatment shows marked improvement after six months. The Dermaplaning treatment targets to clear away those damaged skin cells so newer skin cells are what you see when you look in the mirror. The skin after the treatment will look more youthful, smooth, bright, and radiant. It is also used to remove peach fuzz. It can be used for dull skin, dry skin, sun damaged skin and fine wrinkles.

A Dermaplaning combined with a chemical peel will further transform the skin for even better results. There are different chemical peels. I use those provided by Revival: BHA peel recommended for oily acne skin, the whitening peel AHA and the triple or anti-aging peel with lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, and salicylic acid suitable for mature sun damaged skin types with fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven skin tone.

Mesotherapy with Hyaluronic Acid skin booster and/or Vitamin C. The hyaluronic acid supplies the dermis with hydration lasting for months. Mesotherapy is good for pigmentation, ageing skin, dull or lifeless skin, sun damaged skin, ageing skin, skin prone to premature ageing, dry/dehydrated skin. The use of Hyaluronic acid treats lines and wrinkles, rejuvenating the skin and re-plumping the areas. It helps nourish and hydrate the skin as it stimulates collagen and elastin production. The hyaluronic acid we use is advanced injecting gel based rather than liquid serums into the dermis lasting for months. With the mesotherapy, Vitamin C and glutathione are effective to break down pigmentation and sun damage on the skin.
