 If you have a bleeding disorder or are currently taking anti coagulation medication (Warfarin, low molecular heparin injections and DOACS such as rivaroxaban, apixaban and dabigatran), please still book your appointment, but please ring 01204 487551 and your details will be taken so that a medical advisor can contact you as this may affect how the injection is given. Aspirin and clopidogrel are not regarded as anticoagulants for this vaccination and there is no need to declare these.

If you are immunosuppressed: e.g. undergoing chemotherapy, without a spleen, HIV infection, being treated with or likely to be treated with systemic steroids for more than a month at a dose equivalent to prednisolone at 20mg, or any other disease or treatment which may suppress your immune system -  You are considered at high risk of infection and should receive the vaccine, however be aware that you may not develop full protection.

If you have any other medical disorder, there is no known contra-indication to the vaccine but you may wish to speak to your specialist or GP first if you are unsure
