The visitor(s) is not to visit any other resident or come in contact with any residents that are outside.·         Visitor must bring their own face mask on the day of the visit and wear while on the property.Day of visit:·         The visitor will self screen at home for any symptoms - fever, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, new smell or taste disorder(s), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, unexplained fatigue/malaise, chills, headache. Have you had any exposure to a close contact with respiratory illness or probable or confirmed case of Covid-19? Have you traveled internationally within the last 14 days? If the visitor has any of these symptoms, or answers YES to the questions, they should not visit.·         Visitor to provide their own face mask. ·         Visitor must put on their face mask when they arrive on property and before approaching the screening desk.·         Screener will complete the screening tool and administer the COVID 19 Rapid test. ·         If the visitor does not pass screening, rapid COVID 19 rapid test, does not have a face mask, they cannot visit the resident.·         If required, the screener will contact the RN to assist when visitation is denied.·         Screener will direct the visitor to complete hand hygiene.·         Screener will complete the required details of the visitor and the resident being visited on the visitor log.·         Visitor will go to the designated outdoor or visiting area outside.·         The resident will be brought to the designated outdoor or visiting area by staff.·         Physical (Social) distance of minimum 6 feet must be maintained at all times.·         No food items, treats, snacks or beverages to be exchanged with the resident or permitted on site.Consequences of not following protocols:These protocols are in place to keep residents and staff safe. . No food items, treats, snacks or beverages to be exchanged. If any of these protocols are not followed, residents could be exposed to Covid-19. Therefore, failure to follow them may result in revocation of visiting privileges. In addition, your resident may have to be placed in isolation for 14 days in order to keep the other residents safe.

We ask two visits/resident/week in order to give every resident an opportunity for a visit. Additional visits may be booked if there are open time slots. ·       The name of the resident and the name of the visitor must be provided at booking. The visitor is not to visit with any other resident while on site and must stay 2 meters distance from all residents. ·        The visitor(s) must have visit confirmed with the recreation department to determine that the time slot is available. ·        Visitor must wear a medical mask. Day of visit: Visitor to self screen at home  ·        new or worsening cough, ·        shortness of breath, ·        decreased loss of taste or smell, ·        sore throat/difficulty swallowing, ·        runny/stuffy/congested nose, ·        pink eye, ·        headache, fever/chills ·        nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, ·        abdominal pain, ·        muscle aches/joint pain, ·        extreme tiredness, ·        falling down often o   Has a doctor, health care provider, or public health unit told you that you should currently be isolating (staying at home)?o   In the last 14 days, have you been identified as a "close contact" of someone who currently has Covid-19? o   In the last 14 days, have you received a Covid Alert exposure notification on your cell phone? (If you already went for a test and got a negative result, answer "No")o   In the last 14 days, have you or anyone you live with travelled outside of Canada? o   Is anyone you live with currently experiencing any new Covid-19 symptoms and/or waiting for test results after experiencing symptoms? If the visitor has any of these symptoms, or answers YES to the questions, they should not visit. Arriving at Facility:·       Visitor must put on their face mask when they arrive on property, perform hand hygiene, and complete the screening form before approaching the screening desk. Visitor will be provided with a surgical/procedure mask and eye protection. The mask must be worn correctly and cover the nose, mouth, and chin at all times inside the facility as well as the eye protection. ·       All visitor must show proof of vaccination (QR codes) at every visit. ·       Visitor will need to undergo a Covid rapid test and pass screening, before being permitted entry to the facility (screening/testing will take 20 min. to complete, please arrive early to allow for this).·       If the visitor does not pass screening or receives a + rapid antigen result; they cannot visit the resident. (If required, the screener will contact the RN to assist when visitation is denied).·       Screener will complete the required details of the visitor/resident being visited on the visitor log. ·       Visitor will be directed to the designated indoor visiting area inside.·       Where either the resident or general visitors are not fully immunized the general visitor must maintain two metres physical distance from residents. Where both the resident and the general visitor are both fully immunized close physical contact is permitted. Proof of vaccinations required. Brief hugs will also be permitted regardless of immunization status. Consequences of not following protocols: These protocols are in place to keep residents and staff safe. It is important to understand that these visits are non-contact visits (brief hugs are permitted). If any of these protocols are not followed, there may be restrictions placed upon future visits.
