Ages: 7+ Experience Level: Beginner to Advanced; Scratch is an excellent introduction to coding for anyone that wants to jump into making games and animations without having to learn a complex coding language. Block coding is a type of coding where the user drags and drops blocks of code into a work area to build their project. This surprisingly simple process allows the user to quickly whip up whatever they can imagine! This class is ideal for young students that are still learning to type and who thrive on being allowed to explore their creative ideas. This class also serves as a great stepping stone before taking our Python Coding 101 classes.

Ages: 8+Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate; Python is quickly becoming one of the most used coding languages in the world. Python's user-friendly syntax is easy to pick up, even for young people, and it serves as a great introduction to Computer Science. Even if the student's goal isn't to become a Computer Scientist, the Python coding language is useful in all S.T.E.M. fields. As they progress through multiple lessons students will learn about variables, conditional statements, loops, methods, and classes. This class also serves as a great stepping stone before taking our Generative Art with Python classes.
