Manual  lymphatic drainage & scar tissue therapy - CLINICAL REFERRAL ONLYThese therapies can be used together or as stand-alone treatments. Both therapies may provide significant emotional support, promoting relaxation and well-being at a challenging stage of recovery alongside the physical improvements. MLD: gentle, rhythmic techniques designed to stimulate the lymphatic system by creating subtle changes in tissue pressure.  MLD promotes the movement of excess fluid from the tissues into the lymphatic circulation which aids in the reduction of swelling in limbs and can increase functional recovery. Up to 6 treatments may be offered subject to clinical review and depending on your need.  Access is via strict clinical referral only and treatment is delivered solely at the therapist's discretion SCAR TISSUE: gentle and precise techniques to improve scar mobility, reduce hypersensitivity, alleviate itching and discomfort and encourage functional recovery.  Treatment is adapted to the type, size and depth of scar.  No oils are used, and strokes are carefully applied to remodel tissue and stimulate the healing process. Progress will be regularly assessed and with the patient’s consent, photographs may be taken to support clinical monitoring and evaluation of treatment outcomes. Up to four treatments may be offered subject to clinical review and depending on your need.  Access is via strict clinical referral only and treatment is delivered solely at the therapist's discretion.   

Neuro rehab massage - CLINICAL REFERRAL ONLYis a supportive gentle treatment designed to complement the outstanding care provided by the RFL Neuro vestibular team.  Potential benefits include: - Alleviation of pain and neuropathic symptoms. - Reduction of rigidity and muscle spasms associated with chronic neurological conditions. - Improved range of movement, flexibility and balance and muscular tone - Symptom management in vestibular migraines  Psychological benefits include: reduced anxiety and low mood increase confidence and engagement in rehabilitation. Up to six treatments may be offered subject to clinical review and depending on your need.  Access is via strict clinical referral only and treatment is delivered solely at the therapist's discretion.   

Radiotherapy massage - (CLINICAL REFERRAL ONLY)is a beneficial, specialised gentle and effective treatment using a specially blended aromatherapy oil mixed to 1% of normal strength.  It aids relaxation and relives anxiety before or after your radiotherapy sessions.Each treatment takes 20 minutes, within a 30-minute timeslot. We note the area(s) that are being treated by radiotherapy and for safety purposes these will NOT be massaged.You can book one session per week throughout the course of your radiotherapy via referral from your radiographer.
