This is an 8-week class that is designed to help those who are battling depression or PTSD to learn how to use different types of art to help in their battle. This class will teach students different forms of art and help them find one or two that will help them express their emotions through art instead of keeping it inside them. Students will receive all materials to use, including a sketch book free of charge. Class is 2 hours long, but students can stay up to an extra hour after any class. Students can join at any time during a class at a reduced rate. Contact studio to start during a class.

Learn the history and basic fundamentals of photography using film or digital medium. The students will have the option to build a working pinhole camera to use with film. The class is an hour a week for 4 weeks.

The class will teach proper handling of the tools and how to use every tool, and then the students will each build a one of a kind project.  The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks.  Students can stay up to 45 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have some access to some wood to use in their project at no cost but depending on the size of the project they may need to buy their own wood through the studio or a hardware store. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5th week if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4th week.

The Throw Down is perfect for hens who want to get their hands dirty and try their hand at the art of pottery-making. Each hen will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of throwing on a potter’s wheel and hand-building with clay. With our guidance and support, they will create not one, but two unique and beautiful pieces to take home with them. The first piece will be a small pot made on the pottery wheel, while the second will be a handcrafted masterpiece created using either the slab building or pinch pot method. Once the party is over, we will take the creations away to be glazed in a colour of their choice. Please note that the pottery will need to go through two separate kiln firings, so it may take up to eight weeks for them to be ready, especially during busy times of the year.

“The Pottery Throw Down” is an exciting team building experience that will unleash the creativity of your team members. The Lord is the master creator of the world, and like His word says, "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you (Mat. 6:30)" Like the grass He clothes, He uses that same power to clothe us that much more in our traits, our beauty, etc. So if you were a flower, what flower would the Lord make you?
