“Family life is our first school for emotional learning” (Goleman, 1995). At SAIS –AB, we believe that when parents are emotionally

competent in their relationships; they are more capable of helping their children work through their emotional challenges. We also know that many parents, and especially new parents, are not sure about their parenting abilities, styles, and need support on how to deal with their children. The school provides focused groups to parents to attend, exchange ideas, and learn from each other.
