Cannabis-industry companies especially need guidance with crowdfunding.  In a Section 4(a)(6) funding (The Securities Act of 1933) the funding portal must use a bank or broker-dealer as an escrow agent.  The crowdfunding portal, also known as the intermediary, is not allowed to touch the cash that is invested.  It all goes to a qualified escrow agent until your minimum targeted investment is met and when escrow breaks, the portal receives a nominal commission. And therein lies the problem for companies that want to raise money from the crowd.  Some of the escrow agents are banks that will not accept your business.  It is a little harder to get started, but it can be done.  Book an expert and see how you can raise money from the crowd.  This funding is equity-based funding.  You sell securities to the crowd, and they become investors in your company.  It's not like the donation ones, where the crowd is throwing away money for a cute idea or a good cause, without the benefit of upside or a tax write-off.

Introduction to Public Speaking (For Adults) - Do you hate speaking in front of others? Do you dread having to give a presentation for work, or even speak during group meetings?  You are not alone- many adults fear speaking in public.  But the good news is that everyone can become better and more comfortable!  It starts with choosing the right things to say.  We will talk through some techniques for creating your “script” to have the maximum impact.  Then we will work on some techniques for actually getting on your feet and delivering a polished presentation.  Katie (your instructor) has helped people prepare for TED talks, keynote addresses, and work presentations, and she can help you too!

Unlocking Shakespeare - Work with Mary, our resident Shakespeare aficionado! Many young actors are intimidated by Shakespeare, but there are easy ways to unlock this beautiful text.  Learn the clues and tricks to successfully perform Shakespeare’s plays!  Each session will focus on a different aspect of Shakespeare, so you can do this as a drop-in, or take them all!

Monologues - Students will bring in a prepared monologue for this performance-based class.  (If you  have trouble finding one, please reach out, we would be happy to help you find one!)  For the purposes of doing text work, it is ideal to have a printed copy of their monologue as well.  Each student will have the opportunity to perform their monologue and receive one-on-one instruction/feedback.  As a class, we will also cover the technique of analyzing your monologue, finding beats, and developing a character.  This can be done as a drop-in class, or taken as many times as you like!  There is always more to learn, and deeper to dig with monologues.  Ages 14+

Photography session can only be requested up to two months (60 calendar days) from your original reservation request. A $100 non-refundable donation fee is required to reserve your exclusive 1-hour photography session. Photography is permitted only in the Tyler Formal Gardens in one hour reserved time slots. Private functions, campus events, and emergency closings take precedence and Bucks reserves the right to cancel your reservation at any time. There is NO SMOKING, OR LITTERING allowed on campus. Violation of this regulation will result in cancellation of your photo session and your party will be asked to leave campus immediately. Parking is permitted in the rear courtyard of Tyler Hall.
