Online lessons are best done on a computer or tablet. I will be sharing my screen with the music on it. If you're on a phone, it can be difficult to see the notation, but it's can be done. Please do not log in early. I use the same room for all lessons. This option books the same day, same time weekly for 4 weeks. Cost is $100 for the 4 sessions, payable in full at the first session.

Need a bit of extra help? Book an hour with Mrs. Smith to refresh skills or get your questions answered. Cost is $30/hr. Tutoring takes place at Mrs. Smith's house.

Too far to travel to Fishers? I can also tutor virtually via Zoom. Cost is $30/hr.

The SK program familiarizes these young students with community helpers, our local Fire, Police and EMS professionals. The focus of the program is on teaching safety on the playground and while riding a bicycle, as well as fire, railway, home and community safety. Traffic and road safety is taught by a Police Officer through "Elmer's Seven Traffic Safety Rules" and highlights include a puppet show and visit by Elmer himself. At the conclusion of this engaging class the children head outdoors for a guided tour of the Village where they are encouraged to apply the lessons they learned in the classroom.

Participants of the grade 1 class are greeted by Sparky the Fire Dog who escorts the students to the fire classroom. In this interactive room that replicates a real home, students talk to a firefighter to learn how to avoid and stay staff during a fire. This program includes planning a fire escape route, illustrates the importance of having and checking smoke alarms and the guidelines to follow should they come face to face with a real fire.

Our most popular program at the Village is our grade 2 safety program that offers students a fun and educational day culminating in a chance to cruise the outdoor Village in one of our pint-sized jeeps. The program is taught by a police officer who challenges the students to learn and then identify safety rules and safe practices in the home and in their community. The interactive classroom learning is followed by a safety walk through the Village, and the jeep ride.

The calendar is divided into 15 minute appointments. If a 30 minute appointment is required, please book 2 consecutive time slots. You can use this system to schedule an appointment or to check if I am available. The system will not provide you an option to schedule an appointment when I am already booked, in a meeting, or taking a day off. As the School of Music undergraduate academic advisor, I can assist School of Music students and all students interested in courses or programs in the School of Music with course advice, degree requirements, scheduling advice, progress toward degree requirements, course substitutions, requirements, electives, study abroad opportunities, introductory information regarding double majors/minors, and discuss policies for transfer credit, independent study, and change of major. All of this with a certified music educator who has taught grades K-12 for the past 17 years. Your first lesson is free of charge. Voice lessons are offered for all ability levels and in all styles. I was trained classically at Michigan State and Florida State University but most enjoy singing pop and musical theater for my own personal enjoyment. I am happy to help you achieve your goals in whatever style you are interested in. My philosophy on teaching voice is that the techniques used can be applied to any style successfully.

Ukulele lessons are offered at the beginner through intermediate levels. If you’re a fan of America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal or are simply intrigued by the island sound of this instrument we can help you get off your feet and on the path to enjoying playing the ukulele. This is also a fantastic instrument to begin learning on for younger students who would like to eventually play the guitar. Ukuleles are smaller instruments perfect for smaller bodies and the basics you learn will translate directly to the guitar even if the chords are not exactly the same (although many are very similar!) Must have your own ukulele to bring to lessons.
