These extensive tutoring sessions include the tutor testing the students grade level knowledge, ability to retain information, and the students learning style. A specific plan is then developed for the individual needs of your scholar. This will include custom made worksheets, games, and more. This is beneficial for all students whose grades are less than a B in a particular area. We will learn and develop our skills in an innovative and fun way known to promote retention.

These basic sessions will help your scholar further develop the skills taught through instruction in school. The tutor and student will review and complete homework, projects, and essays together to ensure knowledge had been retained from already assigned homework assignments. This is not available for students with no less than a C average with no Behavioral or Learning Disabilities.

These sessions involve the parents, tutor, and teachers collectively providing the support the scholar will need to succeed. The tutor will review all IEP/ 504 Plans and specifically develop an entire tutoring program specific to your scholars learning needs. The Gifted Tutoring specializes in students with ADHD and other mental health disabilities. All of this with a certified music educator who has taught grades K-12 for the past 17 years. Your first lesson is free of charge. Voice lessons are offered for all ability levels and in all styles. I was trained classically at Michigan State and Florida State University but most enjoy singing pop and musical theater for my own personal enjoyment. I am happy to help you achieve your goals in whatever style you are interested in. My philosophy on teaching voice is that the techniques used can be applied to any style successfully.

Ukulele lessons are offered at the beginner through intermediate levels. If you’re a fan of America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal or are simply intrigued by the island sound of this instrument we can help you get off your feet and on the path to enjoying playing the ukulele. This is also a fantastic instrument to begin learning on for younger students who would like to eventually play the guitar. Ukuleles are smaller instruments perfect for smaller bodies and the basics you learn will translate directly to the guitar even if the chords are not exactly the same (although many are very similar!) Must have your own ukulele to bring to lessons.

Keep the play area safe and free from hazards while monitoring children consistently throughout the day.Sanitize play equipment, games and toys on a regular basis to keep them safe and attractive while minimizing the spread of germs.Change diapers, dress children and assist them with their snacks, drinks and meals as needed.Teach children the importance of good personal hygiene and health habits, including the importance of brushing teeth, eating healthy food, using the toilet and getting adequate rest.Engage in educational activities with the children, including reading, crafts, drawing, coloring and singing.Keep an individual record for each child that includes information about his or her behaviors, daily activities, meals eaten, medications received and other important and mundane details. Discuss this information with each child’s parents on a daily or weekly basis.Discipline unruly children as needed, focusing on using creative ways to encourage good behavior such as picking up after themselves, participating in the lesson plans and treating each other kindly.Create daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate, fun and interesting. Lesson plans should always encourage full participation from each child.

Helps students learn in a non-classroom setting either online via a virtual meeting space or in-person. They tutor students individually or in small groups and provide a variety of services from study skills, note-taking strategies, test preparation, homework assistance, and to grasp new concepts. Tutor will help student review material and complete assignments from class. Their ultimate goal is to improve a student’s academic performance.
