Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing technique that helps reduce stress, relax the mind and body, as well as promotes inner balance by improving energy flow through the body. A complete Reiki session lasts 60 to 90 minutes. The recipient is lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably in a chair while fully clothed.  Reiki is offered through the practitioner by light touch or placing the hands above or on a series of locations; the head, torso, and limbs.  The placement of the hands should never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any pressure or manipulation.  It is quite normal for some clients to fall asleep and many of them report feeling lighter and more relaxed after a session.

Initial sessions last up to 50 minutes and are held at Center for Wellbeing. My office is located on the second floor. Be sure to sign in at the front desk.

Follow-up sessions last up to 30 minutes and are held at University Health Services, located on the ground floor of Erickson Hall. Students must have completed an initial appointment prior to scheduling a follow-up session.
