I will get second opinions before committing to this clinic
I had mixed experiences at this clinic, and I want to share them to help others make an informed decision. First Visit: The initial consultation was great. The doctor listened carefully to the reason I was there—shoulder pain—and conducted a quick but thorough examination. They referred me for X-rays, leaving me feeling heard and optimistic about resolving my problem. I was happy with this visit and eager to return for the results and a treatment plan. Second Visit: Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different experience. It started with watching a video, after which I was seen by a different doctor. This doctor asked so many questions that I felt like I was in a classroom being tested. Afterward, they reviewed my X-rays and painted a grim picture of my spinal health, making me feel like it was a miracle I was functioning normally. While I am aware of my posture issues, no other professional (doctors, physiotherapists, or osteopaths) has ever indicated that my condition was as severe as described. Instead of focusing on my shoulder pain—the primary reason for my visit—the doctor proposed a rehearsed treatment plan involving $83 sessions twice a week for three months, amounting to over $1,900 for the initial phase alone. When I explained that I couldn’t afford this, they suggested payment plans but never offered any alternative treatment schedules or solutions that could work within my budget. Basically if I don’t commit to go twice a month then there not going to be progress. I felt pressured, with no flexibility or empathy for my financial situation. What was most disappointing was the lack of focus on my shoulder pain. None of my initial concerns were addressed during this visit, and the emphasis on selling an expensive long-term plan overshadowed everything else. I left feeling scared about my health, even though I generally consider myself a healthy person. Conclusion: While my first visit left a positive impression, the second visit was disheartening. The clinic's rigid approach to treatment, lack of customer empathy, and focus on an upselling strategy left me deeply dissatisfied. Had they been open to offering a more flexible treatment plan, I would have been willing to commit to a longer-term approach. Instead, I felt ignored and pressured into an expensive and impractical solution. I cannot recommend this clinic based on my overall experience.

Incredibly disappointed.
I can't comment on the skills or knowledge of Dr Harrod, because, despite my best efforts, I never made it to an appointment. I booked at appointment via the MHF Chiropractic website at 6.50am on Thursday morning, due to an intense migraine I had had the day before. Being new to the area, I was looking for a new chiropractor and MHF was in a great location and, best of all, was open late. I made an appointment for 6.30pm that night and headed to work. On my way in, I received a phone call, explaining that there had been a mix up with the booking system and would I instead be available at 7pm. Understanding that this could happen, I agreed to move my appointment to 7pm and thought nothing more of it. At around 2.30pm, I received a phone call from MHF. They explained that there had been a mix up with the booking system for my 7.10pm appointment and could I instead move my appointment to 8pm. I firstly pointed out to them that my appointment had been moved by them already today and that I had been told it had been booked for 7pm. I also pointed out that my original appointment had been for 6.30pm and to move my appointment an hour and a half was a long time difference. The lady was apologetic, promised to speak to the doctor to see what they could do to fit me in and call me back. She didn't call me back. I then rang the clinic to find out if I still had an appointment. I spoke to someone there who confirmed my appointment for 7.10pm and wasn't sure why someone had called me to change it. So I showed up to the clinic at 7pm. There was no signage to point me in the direction of the chiropractic office. The staff at the spa downstairs directed me up. I was given the paperwork to fill out, which I did, and I waited. The consulting room door opened and out came who I thought must be Dr Harrod. Relieved that I was finally going to get my neck seen to, I was mildly surprised when he went into another room, stood in front of a projector screen and began talking. It was 7.15pm by this point. The receptionist came over to me and explained that as the Doctor was running late, I could either sit in on the talk and wait for him to finish - perhaps 30 minutes, if not longer - or I could rebook for another day. I was rendered so speechless by this, I took the first appointment on the weekend - a 9am appointment. I left, incredibly disappointed and frustrated. When I got home, I decided to return to my previous chiropractor and would cancel my appointment the next day when they were open. I received the reminder SMS about my appointment the next day, but, to my grim surprise, my appointment was booked for 8.50am, not 9am. I even checked the appointment card I'd been given - the receptionist had written down 9am. So I called them shortly after receiving the text message, at approximately 5pm. No-one answered the phone. I checked their website - turns out they close at 2pm on a Friday. That's fine, no worries. But the out of hours contact number is the same as the business hours contact. I tried calling it again - but it rang out again. No answering machine. Knowing that there was nothing else I could do - there seemed to be no alternative way to contact the clinic - I just had to leave it. At approx 8.30pm that evening, I received a phone call from the clinic, following up on the missed call. I explained I wanted to cancel my appointment. They offered me a chance to rebook on Tuesday, specifically, but when I told them I just wanted to cancel my appointment, the lady said okay and hung up the phone. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone. After getting such a run around, I will be looking for a new chiropractor in the same area. I'm incredibly disappointed.
