The Olive Oil Enthusiast Tour is a semi private tour for those who want a deeper insight into olive oil production, quality and tasting.
The tour includes a guided tour of our production process and a mini seminar on Cretan olive oil production and what olive oil quality means. The group will then sit at our restaurant and experience an introduction on how to taste olive oil which will include two different Cretan olive varieties and is followed by olive oil pairing with dishes specifically designed by our Chef to showcase olive oil an the Cretan Diet. A glass of wine from a Cretan local winery is included.

Crete on a Plate! Take an afternoon to experience a semiprivate gastronomic experience at our estate. Our goal is to give our visitors a taste of the most flavorful authentic Cretan ingredients and to demonstrate how some classic recipes and cooking techniques can be used.
Participants will first take a tour of our olive mill and learn about the production method of organic stone milled & cold pressed olive oil, then they will gather in the garden and learn about the traditional wood-stove oven, how to make some authentic recipes such as traditional cheese pies, lamb in clay pot and fried potatoes in olive oil on an open fire! Then of course they will enjoy the meal in a beautiful setting with a sunset and the view of ancient mount Rokka.

The mill is open to visitors by appointment Tuesday – Sunday 10:00 – 17:00. Please send us your request, preferably one day in advance the latest, and we will respond with a final confirmation.

Sunset Olive Oil Tasting & Dinner
Enjoy an olive oil tour & tasting experience in a private setting with a background of a breath taking sunset on ancient mount Rokka. In the afterhours when our estate is mostly empty you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and dinning experience.
Starting with a welcoming drink and a tour of Biolea’s olive mill as well as an olive oil tasting experiencing the local varieties of olive oil.
The tour is followed by a specially designed 4 course olive oil pairing menu dinner by our Chef Michalis Papadakis.
Minimum of 2 persons is required to book this tour
