Learn how to create everlasting botanical art in this preserved floral arranging class. In this workshop we will demonstrate the art of flower pressing- from learning how to press the most difficult of flowers like roses, to how to carefully arrange blooms into wall art. This class focuses on classic floral pressing techniques and instant pressing to retain the best color and shape. You will be creating customized floral art utilizing our pre-pressed blooms on elevated cardstock, as well as taking home a 5” instant flower press for you to continue preserving at home. Learn two different styles of artful indoor foliage displays. In this class you will be planting and designing both Kokedama (a Japanese planting method using soil and moss) and ivy topiary (potted ivy plants designed in an artful shape). Both methods utilize the appreciation for the plant’s natural elements while enjoying the beauty indoors. This class includes a variety of indoor plants to choose from as well as all of the materials you need to create these two potted designs. You will be taught planting and mechanical techniques, while learning how to maintain and care for an indoor garden.

Kokedama - an indoor planting method of potting up plants in a boll of moss and displaying them in a dish or suspended in the air- comes originally from the art of bonsai Ivy Topiary - utilizing the bendable vines of ivy to form the foliage and growth into a desired shape, prominent in European gardens
