Hi, my name is Ian Barrow, and I am a qualified and accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist, Strategic Psychotherapist, and Counsellor. I have been in private practice for a number of years.
As your Clinical Hypnotherapist & Strategic Psychotherapist, I will support you (or your loved ones) to heal, grow and live authentically. I will stand with you to re-evaluate, contextualise, and use your strengths to assist you on your journey.
The concerns I can support you with are anxiety (in all forms), procrastination, trauma and PTSD (including for ADF & 1st Responders), anger, depression, grief, control-based behaviours (perfectionism, obsessive behavioural behaviours etc), and low confidence & low self-esteem. Also, behavioural changes for the ceasing of dependent behaviours and bad habits i.e., smoking, vaping, gambling, pornography etc, as well as eating disorders, insomnia, fears and phobias.

In CBT, my role is that of an expert, a guide and a mentor who assists you to become aware of faulty thought patterns, negative interpretations, and the behavioural patterns that are reinforcing your distorted thinking. I will assist you in learning how to identify distorted cognitions and then help you to decide on suitable changes to resolve the problem.
This session is for the regular tune ups of your mental health. This session provides you the opportunity to have your voice heard and to guide and support you. Also to ensure any mental health concerns are identified and healed prior to them becoming more serious mental health concerns

1 x First (initial) Modern Hypnotherapy & Strategic Psychotherapy Session
This session is your first session with your clinician. In this session the clinician will identify your presenting concerns as well as answer any worries or questions you may have around the Hypnotherapy. This session will run for approximately 60 - 75 minutes and is critical to you being able to attend 45 - 50 minute follow up sessions.
