Welcome! I'm Tassy the Tasseographer, and I am your friendly coffee reader!What is coffee reading? Coffee reading, also known as tasseography, is the art of reading and interpreting patterns in coffee grounds as a divination or fortune-telling method.As described on Wikipedia: "When a cup of coffee has been drunk, a sediment often remains. This sediment can be known to form patterns or symbols within it, leaving a perfect canvas for interpretation. There are many possibilities of images appearing in a cup. Images formed in a cup are created and uniquely seen by the reader, so it is often said that the only limitation for cup reading is the imagination of the reader themselves. Symbols can be many things, including physical objects and abstract concepts. Often, the reader will interpret symbols together for a prediction as well as acknowledging their individual meanings. Symbol interpretation can be drawn from history, statistics, pop culture references, and often nature or how we interact with the world." There are various traditions when it comes to reading, interpreting, and analyzing the images in coffee grounds, and every reader will have their own method, technique, and process. I hope that you will find mine to be insightful, interesting, and exciting!How does this work?It all starts with a cup of coffee! The best types of coffee for readings are Turkish and Arabic coffees because they produce a very thick sediment. Once you have finished drinking your coffee, flip the cup upside down onto the saucer. Wait about 1-2 minutes for the grounds to settle. Flip the cup back up and take pictures of the inside of the cup (try to take them as clearly as possible). I will contact you for confirmation and ask for your preference. We will then meet for the coffee reading at the scheduled appointment. What happens during our meeting?I will explain what I interpret from the images in your coffee cup. I may ask you some questions based on my findings for a better understanding of the symbols (you can always decline to answer anything you do not want to share!)
