Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Safety and Security has issued guidance on the fingerprinting of essential and emergency new hires. You will be required to acknowledge acceptance of these safety practices before scheduling your appointment. These best practices will reduce the risk of exposure to new hires and current staff. In addition, these guidelines will streamline and expedite the fingerprinting process to reduce exposure while accomplishing the mission.To limit risk, all functions of the fingerprint process will operate by appointment only.Do not attend an appointment for your background clearance if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever of 100°F or greater, chills, cough: either new, or different than your usual cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or any other flu-like symptoms.), are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, or have been advised to self-quarantine.If you have symptoms or have been advised to self-quarantine, please do not reschedule your appointment until the criteria to discontinue home isolation are met in consultation with health care providers and state and local health departments.We will reschedule appointments as necessary at a later date.
