Gentle Yoga is a mind-body awareness practice that is far less strenuous than other forms. This relaxed version of yoga emphasizes mental relaxation through a series of breathing instruction and slow yoga stretches and poses. Bolsters, blocks and blankets are often used to prop and assist during active and restful poses. This class can leave you feeling restored and relaxed.

All levels yoga designed to move through poses with your breath. Detail is given for proper alignment and with modifications for all levels.

Chair yoga is an alternative to traditional yoga, which may be too stressful in some situations. Joint pain, back pain, and rehabilitation, are helped by Yoga in a chair. Weight loss, prenatal care, senior issues, stress reduction, and stiffness from office work are also reasons to use this easy Yoga program. The results are similar to traditional yoga poses but are a more gentle fitness program.

Foundations Barre is a hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, yoga, strength training and stretching. This class is perfect for all levels - first timers through professional athletes. This is an express version of the Foundations Barre class lasting only 40 minutes so you can fit in an energizing workout during your lunch break. **THIS CLASS TAKES PLACE AT FUNCTIONAL FITNESS** 60 minute Foundation barre class combines key components from ballet, Pilates, yoga, and traditional strength training. Clients with good physical condition and that have taken 10 barre classes can also benefit from cardio rounds during class. This class is safe and effective for all fitness levels, during pregnancy, post partum, and those recovering from injuries/surgeries.

This class moves you through 26 traditional poses, with long holds, rather than flowing from pose to pose with the breath.  It is a full body sequence of postures for beginners to advanced practitioners. Postures promote strength and flexibility while fostering deeper levels of concentration.  Room will be warm.

Body Tune up uses The Roll Model Method which is a soft-tissue conditioning, self-care fitness format that uses the various Roll Model® Therapy Balls for self-myofascial release (self-massage). This may include breath work, CheckIn and ReCheck, elements of alignment, anatomy instruction and mental awareness (such as conscious relaxation).

KT Tape is an elastic sports and fitness tape designed for muscle, ligament and tendon pain relief and support. It is applied along muscles, ligaments, and tendons to provide a light weight, external support.

These trips provide a good introduction to fly fishing and the area trout streams with 4 hours of guided fly fishing and instruction. This gives you a quality fly fishing trip without the overload of too much windshield time. Whether you’re short on time and can’t commit to a full day trip or visiting Madison for a conference this option lets you sneak in some fishing and learn some new skills.

WI Trout Season: March 1 - October 15

A fly casting lesson is the key to getting started in fly fishing, and it gives you the most important skill for the pursuit. It also helps you become a better angler. We offer introductory lessons for beginners, casting tune-up for the intermediate angler, and advanced lessons for the angler going on that saltwater trip of a lifetime.

These trips take us deeper into the Driftless Area farther away from Madison, and off the beaten path. You’ll be provided with 8 hours of guided fishing, tackle, and a lunch to keep you fueled up. A full day trip gives you more time to hone your skills and practice what you’ve learned. We’ll have the opportunity to fish lots of quality streams that have higher densities of wild brown trout per mile, and more opportunities to catch quality fish.
