A brainteaser is a type of riddle that makes one think outside the box. Some brainteasers are easy, some are a little harder, and some can really make you ponder for a while. Often, when you finally hear the answer, you feel ignorant or silly, because it should have been obvious to you. However, brainteasers are fun. Therefore, we keep testing ourselves and hoping we get better at solving them. This class time will be spent solving some brain teasers as a group as well as individually.

Lessons are designed to empower students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world. Includes lesson plans, videos, student interactives, and assessments.

The Millicent Library is now open at our regular hours. No appointment is necessary for computer use or browsing.

We strongly encourage patrons to wear masks while in the library as children 12 years and younger are not yet able to be vaccinated.

Make an appointment with us to have your passport processed. Appointments can be made every half-hour on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. through 1 p.m.

Our free Notary service at the main library offers document notarization by appointment only. Bring a photo ID (license, state-issued ID, or passport) and your unsigned documents. You should fill out your documents prior to your appointment but leave all signature lines blank.

Our Research Assistance service offers personalized consultation with a Reference Librarian to support your research projects. We provide guidance on research strategies, and in navigating and utilizing our extensive print and digital collections.

In Cricut 101, we will customize a mini notebook using craft vinyl, which is a material that has a built-in adhesive.

Each participant is responsible for their own registration, and space is limited. Each demo will focus on one topic or material and may have specific design parameters to ensure adequate time for project completion. Color choices and materials are subject to availability.

Patrons may only complete this mini notebook session once but are welcome to sign up for different demos as they become available.
