My interview with Bridget Knight
I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Ms. Bridget Knight. She has an impressive curriculum and is well deserving of admiration. It really stuck with me how she seemed to care about the SaYes work, which made me feel confident that this is the place I want to work. She also explained the program clearly and asked me appropriate questions to make an assessment if I would be an eligible candidate. I found the whole interview well organized, just like the mentoring program itself.

A very different and structured approach to mentoring
The SAYes Mentor Course is very different in approach and structure to previous mentoring approaches I have encountered. This approach is very specific to the goals it wants to achieve for the mentee and thats very helpful in guiding the mentors.

Engaging and Informative Intro Session
I recently attended the intro session with Bridget. She was very warm, approachable, and clear in her explanations. She provided a well-structured overview of the mentoring program, setting clear expectations while creating a supportive and open space for discussion. Online mentor training and lectures
I participated in 12 hours of online mentor training with Andrew at the helm, and a group of other trainee delegates. The training covered a wide range of skills, from active listening through to growth mindset, via interactive discussions and use of smaller breakout rooms to practice in small groups. The training also covers individual learning by way of video lectures. A great deal of helpful context about mentees and mentoring was given, and I found the sessions (in fact, all the content) to be thought-provoking and meaningful.

Mentor Training
I recently attended the SAYes Mentor Training, and I found it to be an insightful and valuable experience. The training was well-structured, providing a clear understanding of the mentoring process and the role of a mentor in supporting young people. One of the standout aspects of the training was its emphasis on building meaningful and supportive relationships. Mentor Course
