This 20 - 30 minute appointment is designed to assist in helping you prepare for orientation, and may be conducted in person or over the phone. This discussion is meant for me to get a sense of your plans so that we may navigate your degree path as it unfolds before you here at The W. We will also touch on your expectations and obligations as a student. Please schedule this appointment prior to your orientation date. If you are majoring in, or are considering a major in, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Family Studies, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Theater, and Theater Education please set up an appointment to meet with me. Welcome to your first semester of college! As you continue to adjust to college, it is time for you to meet with me, your Navigator, for a 1-on-1 meeting. During our meeting we will discuss your freshman year goals, make sure you are on track for a successful start, and you will also be able to ask me any questions you may have. You must schedule your appointment between August 23rd and September 7th. Any appointment scheduled prior to August 23rd will be cancelled. CIS offers tutoring services to students in grades 5-12 in a small group setting through the on-campus Student Success Center. In addition to general academic support, students learn researched-based organizational and executive functioning skills. By participating in our small-group tutoring services, students will strengthen their connection to the material, the teacher, and each other. The SSC is open Monday-Thursay from 4:00-4:45.
