This class will equip your child with the fundamentals of reading and writing, and provide a passionate initiation into the world of literature – poetry, stories, essays, drama – painting a compelling picture of the Good Life that can only come from reading and falling into books. While I am very happy to work on the real basics of phonics and early reading development, this class is mostly aimed at kids who already know how to read – taking them on a journey into increasingly profound works and the discussions they open up, tailored to age and level, all the while cultivating high-level communication skills across all major forms of writing. Classes can be online (ideally via Zoom) or you can come to my home in the village of Howth. The fee is €50 per hour or €180 if you book 4 classes in advance.
