This CDC, Bright from the Start approved training is a class where participants will learn about their role in monitoring children's development, understanding developmental milestones, objective and engaged developmental monitoring, how to talk with parents about their child's development, and what resources are avaiable in GA when there are concerns about a child's development.

This training will guide participants through the process of communicating effectively to and with early learners in addition to helping participants understand how communication aids in the overall development of early learners. The goal is to help participants understand how to effectively communicate with early learners, self awareness of their communication style and how to improve their communication techniques and strategies when interacting with early learners.

In this parenting class, the facilitator will introduce Positive Discipline to participants and help them to develop a better understanding of how Positive Disciple works when implemented and why it is essential when interacting with their children. This is not just a lecture but an interactive class that all participants will benefit from.

CHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED Our 6-week series teaches you everything you need to be able to implement Positive Discipline within your home. Each week you will learn and try out methodologies and tools to use with your family. There are opportunities to share your own specific challenges and get suggestions on how to work through them. By coming back each week you will deepen your understanding of Positive Discipline and gain confidence in using it with your family. Topics covered include - Encouragement vs. Praise, Asking vs. Telling, The Belief Behind the Behavior and much more.
