Tonweya-Tiayta means “Scouts Home” and it is just that; a home away from home for many Girl Scouts. The secluded heated lodge is nestled among oak trees and just minutes from Valley City. A favorite activity for both summer and fall campers is to canoe along the Sheyenne River where you are sure to catch a glimpse of the deer, ducks, turtles and other wildlife native to the area.
