Meagan has her Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development, as well as a Mild/Moderate credential, and a Master's degree in Special Education. She has seven years of teaching experience. Meagan has taught children in the early childhood/preschool setting ages 6 months- 4 years old, as well as in the elementary setting with Kindergarten-5th graders, both general and special education students. Meagan also has 4 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis intervention with children ages 2-14. She loves to model and demonstrate the activities for her students in order to accommodate to their needs. She implements differentiated instruction to ensure that her students are learning in various styles. Jeanette is a credentialed teacher and a graduate of the University of Virginia. She is currently a high school English and French teacher. She also has experience with all ages as an ESL teacher.  Jeanette loves cooking, writing, and traveling. She is part of the first cohort of the New York Times Teaching Project and a current Haiti Teachers Fellow from the UNC-Duke Consortium. Jeanette also can assist with creative writing, reading intervention, Gifted and Talented K-12, AP Literature and AP French, ACT Prep and English as a Second Language.

David has his Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Elementary Ed. at Curry College. David has over 3 years of teaching experience with grades 3-5. He also has tutored writing at the middle school, high school and collegiate levels. David's teaching style is very interactive and engaging. He aims to inspire his students to maximize their learning potential and to show them that the process of learning can be really fun. David loves to travel and has lived in Spain, Argentina, Italy, and Tel Aviv, Israel. He describes himself as an avid cyclist, Boston sports enthusiast, vinyl record collector, artist, music producer, basketball junkie, and international wanderer.

Shay has her Bachelor's degree from UC Davis with a major in Sociology and minor is Psychology. She also her Master's degree in Social Work and Pupil Personnel Credential from UC Berkeley with a concentration in Management and Planning. Shay has over eight years of experience guiding high school students through the college application process. She specializes in essays for UC and Common App. Shay is a warm, collaborative, inquisitive teacher that meets each student where they are and adapts to their learning style(s).

Lorraine is a licensed Special Education teacher with four years of experience with all ages of children. She is working on completing her Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities. Lorraine can also assist with test prep. In her free time, she enjoys photography, traveling, singing and dancing.

Kimoi is an experienced math tutor who holds a Bachelors of Science in both Actuarial Science and Aviation Theoretics. She currently is a high school math teacher and has been a tutor for over five years. Kimoi loves to make math fun and enjoyable for everyone!

Megane has Bachelor's degree in Management with a major in Marketing, from Merkure Business School, France. She has been working at the Lycée Français School in New York since 2020 as a Primary assistant where she helps children from 3 to 9 years old with their learning journey. Megane also has 10 years of childcare experience as a sitter and au pair helping children with homework and providing care. She makes sure students understand the exercise and guides them through the work. In her free time, Megane enjoys cooking healthy food and exploring her environment!

Grade levels: Pre-K, Elementary/Primary, Middle/Secondary, HIgh School/Seconday | Alan grew up deaf in a hearing family without ASL, which was very difficult. Finally learning ASL in high school he began to feel at ‘home’ – life changed in such positive ways. He attended Gallaudet University and RIT/NTID before going onto culinary school and making dean’s list. Alan now lives in NYC where he has worked for five star restaurants and opened his own catering company called atable. He teaches cooking workshops and has been teaching ASL for over 10 years. Molly earned her bachelor’s degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Elementary Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Neuroscience and Education from Teacher College, Columbia University.

While studying in New York, Molly had the pleasure of joining the Baby Fingers family and teaching all over the city. Now settled into a teaching job in Washington DC, Molly brings Baby Fingers to the DC area and live online. Fun fact: Molly’s mom is the librarian at a school for the Deaf in Pennsylvania. Molly is an ASL teacher from www.mybabyfingers.com.

Clara is a Public Health major and plans to obtain her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health. She has volunteered at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX, served as a summer camp counselor, worked in an after school care program, and was a soccer coach and referee for a youth sports league. She also currently mentors middle and high school students at an education technology company. Clara enjoys reading stories, singing songs, playing games and doing yoga.

Kelsey is a certified early childhood and elementary teacher. She has classroom experience teaching first grade and middle school English language learners. 

Kelsey has taught 1:1 online English lessons to students in China. She also has worked with middle and high school students as a peace corps volunteer in Kosovo. Kelsey recently earned her Masters in Public Policy from Georgia State University and can assist with high school level economics and American government.

NEW! Great for all ages & levels | Ashure has worked as a dance and cheer coach for youth ages 5-17. She recently graduated last with with a Masters in Dance Movement Therapy and received her dance movement therapy certification (R-DMT). She has over 10 years experience teaching dance and cheer, and 2 years experience as a Dance/Movement Therapist to youth and older adults. She is a very energetic, fun, inspiring teacher who encourages students to communicate themselves through creative expression.

Lihlu was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and moved to Austin, Texas, with her family at two years old. As a native speaker, sharing her love for Spanish has always been at the center of her life and identity. (She’s also fluent in French and American Sign Language!)

Lihlu has made teaching and working with children a part of her life since she was thirteen. From tutoring, teaching after school programs, teaching for the Montessori Academy of North Texas in Sherman and interning at the Grayson County Children’s Advocacy Center. She has always found a way to orient herself towards helping children grow to be their best selves and giving back to her community.

Outside of the classroom, Lihlu enjoys spending time with nature, playing the guitar, baking for her friends and family, and finding new coffee shops in the area to visit!

Ari has tutored students ages 5+ for over 6 years. She loves working with children. She specializes in English and Social Studies and she is about to begin her teaching credential program. She cannot wait to be a public school history teacher. She holds a certificate as a Behavioral Technician in ABA Therapy. She presents herself as friendly, patient, silly, and inclusive. Informed by ABA Therapy, her style emphasizes reinforcement so that students know exactly what to strive for. She also values meeting students where they are at and finding ways to have fun in every lesson.

Fiana has a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Stony Brook with a major in Pharmacology. She has been teaching in the classroom setting since 2017. Fiana has also worked as a Chemistry co-teacher & middle/high school tutor.

Allison is an actress in New York and has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. She has been teaching singing, acting, and dance classes to K-12 students in New York City since 2014 and has also has been able to teach singing and dance classes through Zoom since last March. Although she loves being on stage, she also loves working with children. She is currently a teaching artist working for a non-profit that runs after school programming in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Her teaching style is fun and collaborative as she gives her students the tools and technique they need so that they can apply the skills to their own personal practice.

Great for ages 5 years old and up | Jason is passionate about teaching mindfulness meditation to kids and adults alike. To equip others with tools to face all the ups and downs of life and find peace within themselves is very rewarding to him. Jason has his two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification from University of California Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. He has loved to authentically connect with kids through mindfulness meditation, but also in other roles such as a Fulbright Grantee teaching English to high schoolers in Malaysia.

Aside from his tournament play, his experience includes coaching chess at several institutions internationally. Furthermore, he has more than ten years of experience teaching chess to children of a wide variety of ages, making him a highly accomplished chess coach. He works with all ages and levels and is currently teaching at NY Chess Academy. 

Nathan is the founder of MosaicMath, and has been tutoring for over eight years. He received his B.S. in Pure Mathematics from UNC Asheville in 2020, and since then has split his time between Math Tutoring and Software Engineering in the Data Industry.

Brooke has been teaching since 2016 for students with special needs in the areas of Language Arts and Math. She has a Master's degree in Literacy and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Licensed K-12 Mild-Moderate Disabilities). She has 8 years experience teaching Inclusive Special Education with grades 2nd-12th (respective school years) in Language Arts and Math, and 10 years tutoring elementary aged students. She strives to create a dynamic and engaging environment where learning is an adventure. By combining her lessons with humor and interactive activities, she loves capturing students’ attention while fostering in them a love for reading and learning.
