I am a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with over 18 years experience of supporting individuals, groups and families in the NHS. I currently work in secondary mental health services with people who present with complex and enduring mental health needs such as depression, shame, self-harm, unusual experiences, self-criticism, dissociation, interpersonal difficulties etc. I hold a non-pathologising view of psychological distress and I use a range of models flexibly and creatively to help people address their individual concerns. I have a special interest in working with adults and teens who have experienced developmental trauma and I use Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), an honouring, powerful and effective approach rooted in neuroscience, to help people begin the deep healing process that trauma requires. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapies (ACAT) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). Fees are £115 per 60 minute session

I am a Clinical Psychologist and I have been working in mental health services since 2007. I currently work in the independent sector with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a range of difficulties, specifically in relation to the trauma they have experienced - these can be complex trauma or single-episode traumas. Whether your difficulties have come around suddenly or have built up over time, we know that living with these feelings can be overwhelming and impact every aspect of our daily lives - from feeling like we can’t cope, to impacting our relationships with ourselves and others. I have found working with IFS an extremely powerful explorative approach whilst being very gentle for the client, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves whilst also beginning the trauma healing process. I have a special interest in working with developmental trauma and also with new parents and perinatal trauma (e.g., birth trauma). I am also trained in child and adult Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and enjoy using EMDR and IFS creatively together, where it is felt appropriate. Please get in contact if you would like to have further discussions. My appointment fees are £120 per 50-60 minute session and sessions will be held over Zoom.

I am warm, approachable and intuitive and my clients have said that they felt heard and cared for, sometimes for the first time. I have provided psychological therapy since 2009, mainly working with adults in secondary care mental health services in the NHS. I have successfully supported people with long-term complex mental health needs such as complex trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and eating disorders. Most recently, I worked at the forefront of mental health research, as a therapist on a trial of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. I have undertaken psychological therapy myself and I know the benefits it can bring. I also know you may be apprehensive or have mixed feelings about starting this process. I am a convert to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and it provides the perfect container in which we can look at the many different feelings which might be coming up for you. It is a gentle and empowering approach which lets us get to know the different aspects of our personalities and why they do what they do. It holds the potential to heal the pain and vulnerabilities we have been carrying, giving us a chance to choose how we react in the world. I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Health Psychology and a Degree in Psychology and I regularly update my skills and knowledge through further training.
