The NHS Flu vaccine is FREE in community pharmacy for anyone who
- is 65 yrs of age or older (includes those aged 65 by 31/3/24)
- aged 50-64 years (including those aged 50 by 31 March 2024) (included from 17th January 2024)
- is pregnant or
- aged 18-65 yrs in a clinical risk group or
- immunosuppressed and their close contacts or
- is a carer or
- live in a residential or nursing home or
- is a frontline health and social care worker
You may receive your Covid-19 Booster (if eligible) at this appointment without needing to re-book
Flu vaccination is important because:
more people are likely to get flu this winter as fewer people will have built up natural immunity to it during the COVID-19 pandemicif you get flu and COVID-19 at the same time, research shows you're more likely to be seriously illgetting vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 will provide protection for you and those around you for both these serious illnessesBook an available appointment for a time that suits you or call in to the pharmacy on spec where we will administer you flu vaccine if a trained vaccinator is present (immediate vaccination cannot be guaranteed but ever effort will be made to accommodate.)

You are eligible for the Pfizer bivalent Autumn COVID-19 booster via community pharmacy if you are:
- is 65 yrs of age or older or
- is pregnant or
- aged up to 65 yrs in a clinical risk group (evidence required) or
- immunosuppressed and their close contacts or
- is a carer or
- live in a residential or nursing home or
- is a frontline health and social care worker
You may receive your Flu Vaccine (if eligible) at this appointment without needing to re-book
You must have completed your primary course (2 doses) before receiving the booster vaccination.
The covid -19 vaccinations schedule is as below
1st dose
2nd dose - 8 weeks after 1st dose
1st booster - 3 months after 2nd dose
The 2nd booster dose is given 3 to 6 mths after previous booster dose.
