About the company
My name is Rhiannon and I am an Instructor at the Upper Hutt Martial Arts Academy. I primarily teach women, children, and families. I have been teaching at the Academy for almost 10 years, and I am now responsible for running the Young Dragons and Hapkido Tigers Classes. I've found I really enjoy teaching, and love working with my students to achieve their potential. If you want to expand on in-class material, need a bit of extra help, or want to take up Hapkido, I’m here for you!Our team

I'm Rhiannon and I'm an Instructor at the Upper Hutt Martial Arts Academy. I primarily teach women, children, and families. I have been teaching at the Academy for almost 10 years, and I am now responsible for running the Hapkido Dragons and Hapkido Tigers classes.

I am a qualified coach through the New Zealand Ju-Jitsu Federation. I currently hold a C1 Assistant Instructor qualification, and am working towards my C2 Club Instructor qualification. These qualifications are recognized by Sport New Zealand The purpose of the NZJJF coaching courses is insure that all instructors are trained in modern coaching methods, have a clean criminal record, and have basic first aid training. They are general instructor qualifications - not a qualification to teach Ju-Jitsu.
