 Guests travel through the tower at their own pace, with a tour guide on a selected floors to answer any questions they may have. Guests have the opportunity to visit the 7th floor viewing deck, 8th floor observation area, Hall of Fame, Flag Walk and North Platte Canteen display. This is the best option for tours that may be short on time of 1 hour or less.

2.5 Hours I $50 per person

Field Trips Experience:

Please provide 1 adults per 10 students. 

The bus will arrive and our Golden Spike Tower host will greet the bus and assist with unloading to a designated outdoor area, where we will all gather for a photo and directions.  Photos are private, not on social media, but a copy is provided to each child at the end as a reminder of their visit. 

We will divide the large group into 3 or 4 smaller groups of 8 to 12 kids (please let us know if you have a specific way you prefer them to be broken up into groups otherwise we will use our method).  Smaller groups will each have a guide or two to direct them to different station of crafts, education and activities.  We will ask that one of your adults remains with a group at all time. 

Groups will be directed through specific paths via stairs, elevator and outside to our three different public floors, including an outside balcony (safe and with railing) and our enclosed 8^th floor: 104 feet in the air.  Activities & education are specifically selected for your group to ensure they are age appropriate.  Kids will learn how Bailey Yard operates, have train safety training, learn about rail cars, and participate in hands on activities. 

Rest rooms are located on the first floor only.  A rest room break and outdoor playtime is provided for the last 10 minutes or so of the tour.  If a child does need a rest room break, we would ask your staff (adult helpers) excuse them and take them, so our staff can continue with the lesson. 

Private Tower Rental is perfect for hosting private events with style and grace. With our affordable $500/3 hour package, we provide you with everything you need to make your event a success. Our package includes admission, table setup, linen, and generic decorations. You're welcome to bring your own food and beverage or ask us for help with our catering services (available upon request). Our tower has limited availability to outside regular business hours, and can accommodate up to 48 people for sit-down dinners and 100 for cocktail style events.

Train Room is the perfect space for your next meeting, birthday party, or cocktail gathering! For only $75, you get 2 hours of access to our unique venue. Our service includes table setup, tear-down, linens, and fun, generic decorations. Guests may bring their own food or beverage, or request catering services. The room can accommodate up to 12 guests in a meeting style, 30 guests in a cocktail setting or 15-20 guests for birthday parties. What's more, you also receive half-price admission tickets to the Tower. Book now and host an unforgettable event at Train Room! Each additional hour is $25.
