Great teacher
The moment I met Akari-san via Skype I knew the classroom environment she created vibed much more with how I like to learn. She's a great teacher and brings a lot of joy and personality to each lesson. This helped ease any anxieties I had about learning something new in a way I think other teachers would not have done so well. Akari has taught me a lot and has prepared me well in a short amount of time for a trip I have planned to Japan. She didn't only give me Japanese and Hiragana lessons, but also taught me about cultural behaviors and gave me tips around where to visit and what to eat. Arigatou gozaimasu, Akari-san!

Best first Japanese teacher
I’m loving my lessons with Akari sensei. She really helps me put into speaking practice all the bits I learned from different places. And she didn’t laugh once when I mentioned Duolingo! ;-) Brilliant teacher. I recommend.

The best way to learn Japanese
I've had just over 10 lessons with Akari-sensei and my confidence in speaking Japanese has drastically improved. Not only that, but also further understanding how language influences the cultural nuances.

Highly recommended!
Akari sensei is the best teacher I could wish for. She is very kind and patient despite my poor Japanese skills. I was so stressed about online courses, but she always makes me feel very at ease. It is like talking to a friend and we enjoy a lot of fun. I also like her Slow Japanese podcast, it is worth checking out, if you are starting with the language. Akari sensei, ありがとうございます.

Kind and patient!
Initially found Akari through her podcasts on spotify. Akari is very patient, kind and great at explaining stuff! I was very nervous since my level is very low, but Akari is great at talking slowly, repeating, and clarifying on any questions.
