Coach Mike Valdez has been in and around baseball for over 25 years, including coaching professionally for the past 10 years. At 12 years old he represented Fort Worth Westside Little League at the Little League World Series where he pitched a 1 hitter vs Hawaii and batted over .400. His junior year of high school he was named an Under Armour All American after leading Arlington Heights to the UIL 4A state finals and batting .508. After high school he accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Texas Wesleyan University and went on to play division 1 baseball at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
