The Vaughan Community Health Centre is enhancing community access to COVID-19 testing. Transportation support to the test appointment and interpretation services are available. 

If you are unable to book an appointment at this location within 24 to 48 hours, please book an appointment at the Mackenzie Health Assessment Centre scheduling office by calling 905-883-1212 ext. 2004 (Phone line opened Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and weekends 8am-4pm).

You can get a COVID-19 test at this location if any of the 8 following scenarios apply: 

1. You are currently experiencing one or more of the following COVID-19 symptoms: 

- fever or chills 

new or worse cough  

shortness of breath  

- sore throat or difficulty swallowing 

runny, stuffy or congested nose  

lost sense of taste or smell pink eye (conjunctivitis) 

headache that’s unusual or long lasting

- digestive issues (nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain) 

muscle aches extreme tiredness that is unusual (fatigue, lack of energy)

2.  You have been exposed to a COVID-19-positive person (if you know when you were exposed, get tested 5 days after your last exposure and stay in self-isolation. If you do not know when you were exposed, get tested right away) 

3. Received a COVID Alert app exposure notification

4.  You had positive rapid test results

5.  You are a health care worker or visitor to health care facilities  

6. You identify as Indigenous, are a farm worker or an international student who has passed the 14-day quarantine period

7.  You live or work in homeless shelters or other congregate setting

8. You need a test before a scheduled surgery in a region with high community transmission

If you have serious symptoms (difficulty breathing, chest pain, loss of consciousness), please call 911 or visit your closest hospital emergency department. If your symptoms get worse before your scheduled COVID-19 test appointment, please call 9-1-1 or visit your closest hospital emergency department. 

If you're asymptomatic (have no symptoms) and meet the provincial criteria to get a test, you can get tested at a pharmacy. Please refer the provincial government website for a list of participating pharmacies near you. 

If you’re not sure whether you need to be tested for COVID-19, please refer to the Ontario government self-assessment tool or call us at include cell phone number.

You are not eligible for a COVID-19 test at this location if any of the following applies

- Under 2 years of age (need to visit the emergency department) 

If the test is for the purpose of international travel  

Information you need to know for your COVID-19 test appointment: 

- Wear a mask to your appointment.

You will be given a new surgical mask at the entrance. 

Please bring your OHIP health card. If you do not have OHIP health card, bring 1 piece of ID. 

- Please bring an assistive or accessibility devices (if you need them)

- Please arrive on time for your appointment, not early or late. If you are arriving by car, please wait in your car until your appointment time. 

If you are arriving by transit, you will need to wait outside, so please dress for the weather.

To keep everyone safe, we are trying to limit the time people spend at the clinic. Washrooms are not available at the testing site.

If possible, please avoid bringing people with you (if they are not getting tested as well). 

- If you need someone with you during the test, ask the testing location ahead of time to confirm if this is possible by calling 905-226-7332


Waiting for Your Test Results:

You should self-isolate (stay at home) while you wait for your result. 


Accessing Your Test Results:

You are able to access your COVID-19 test result online with a health card number: https://covid19results.ehealthontario.ca:4443/ It may take several days for your results to be processed. 

Vaughan Community Health Centre will call individuals who have tested positive and to those who do not have an OHIP card with either a negative or positive test result. 

Please note that Vaughan Community Health Centre call back numbers might not be familiar to you, may be from a “PRIVATE” number and call times may vary.  If you have any questions pertaining to your results, please call416-744-0066 ext 2247 (tbc)  At this time, we are unable to provide hard copies of results to you directly. Please contact your primary  care physician or print results at this link.


Testing Positive for COVID-19:

In the event you test positive for COVID-19, our Case Managers offer free support for the following: 

financial support self-isolating groceries/meals and supplies (such as masks)education on how to keep people in your household safe If you have any questions about COVID-19 booking or the services listed above, please call the Vaughan CHC COVID-19 Information Line at 905-226-7332.
