Alex Solis is an artist, producer, audio engineer, songwriter and vocalist from Los Angeles. It was his fortune to attend a high school with had a recording program that piqued his interests and enabled him to realize his desire to be a music producer. After graduating from high school, Alex attended a post-secondary school where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Music Production.

Since then, Alex has composed a number of original sound scores for indie films, and he recently completed a pilot for the show American Guitar, serving as co-composer of original music as well as manning the tracking of voice overs. As an audio engineer and/or producer, Alex has worked with a plethora of emerging artists in Los Angeles and beyond. He’s passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping guide today’s rising talents in engineering and producing.

Elliot grew up in Sterling, Illinois and earned a degree in Screenwriting from Columbia College Chicago. Since moving to Los Angeles, he’s written numerous screenplays, interned at film production studios like Valhalla Entertainment (“The Walking Dead”) and Radar Pictures (Pitch Black), and worked on projects starring Emilio Rivera (“Sons of Anarchy”) and the late Roddy Piper (They Live). Among his proudest achievements is Elliot’s sci-fi audio-play “Beyond School” (a series in which a teenage girl discovers an alien conspiracy at her high school – 30 episodes on iTunes) and his original short film, which is also wrote, “Almost Ruined Christmas.”

Jon is a musician, recording & mix engineer, live sound engineer, and graphic designer based in Massachusetts. Having played in numerous bands and completed multiple US tours, Jon has been involved with underground music since his early teens. After going to vocational school for graphic design, Jon furthered his education at Bay State College in Boston where he earned his Bachelors of Science for Entertainment Management and Audio Production. While in Boston, Jon freelanced at multiple recording studios, working alongside local music and ran live-sound at bars and clubs in the area. Since then, Jon has worked on sound design for independent film and ran operations for a community focused DIY label.

Zach Sheets is an artist, producer, audio engineer, sound designer, and DJ from Pennsylvania. Since an early age, Zach knew music was his passion and set his sights on chasing down his dream. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the military as a steppingstone to gaining an education in music. After completing 4 years of Active Duty in the United States Marine Corps, Zach relocated to Los Angeles to attend The Musicians Institute and Icon Collective. At Musicians, Zach completed the Independent Artist and Music Production Program, Music Business, and earned his Associate of Science Degree in Studio Recording.

Since completing his education, Zach has released music on numerous indie music labels, both in the United States and abroad, as well as released his music independently. He’s performed at some of the biggest clubs in L.A. including The Belasco, Catch One, and The W Hotel, and at venues in Las Vegas and Mexico. As an engineer, he’s recorded, mixed, and mastered up-and-coming artists across a plethora of different genres. In recent years, Zach’s immense passion and drive for music has flourished into a desire to share his knowledge with fellow music creators and audiophiles. Alex Torres is an audio engineer and hip hop artist from Hartford, Connecticut. Both self-taught and formally trained in audio, he started out engineering in basement studios. Alex then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from The University of Hartford with a bachelors of science degree in Audio Engineering Technology. He later founded HKE Studios where he procured placements engineering for artists like Akon and many others.

As a hip hop artist and wordsmith, Alex has been compared to DMX, Big Punisher, and Eminem. He’s performed in venues and events throughout the East Coast, including The Apollo and Times Square Art Center. His music can be heard on all digital streaming platforms, TV/movie libraries, and in crypto space, in the form of NFTs.

With a lot of real-world experience and erudite book smarts, Alex looks forward to helping up-and-coming engineers, beat makers, artists, and producers excel in Recording Connection and gain the insight and knowledge it takes to be a professional in today’s multifaceted music industry.

Roman was born and raised in California. As he got older he became interested in film. Roman eventually earned a degree in Television and Film with an option of journalism from California State University Los Angeles. Roman has worked on small short films and fell in love with the art of film. To branch out even more, Roman started participating in radio. He eventually became a host for his own show Roman’s Rock Record which was played on Golden Eagle Radio. Roman discussed famous albums by iconic artists and how their work became influential. He also hosted a talk show Golden Gems in which him and his co host discussed current events and how it impacted their mental health. Now Roman wants to inspire countless students so they can find their true passion.

Chef Kristi is a Pastry Chef and Chef Instructor from Los Angeles, CA. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Management, Communications from Cal State University, Northridge and a Culinary Arts Degree from Le Cordon Bleu, Pasadena. She has had over 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry. In 2008, she competed in an International Culinary Competition hosted by San Pellegrino and won the overall competition and was named “San Pellegrino’s Almost Famous Chef” for 2008. She was on the opening team at Bouchon in Beverly Hills, was the Pastry Chef at La Grande Orange Café, BoHo Restaurant in Hollywood, Max Restaurant in Encino, Maximiliano in Highland Park, and consulting for Abby’s Millstone Baking Company in Agoura, to name a few. She has taught Culinary Arts for the past 8-years, and has taught College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA and at ICE (Institute of Culinary Education) in Pasadena, as well as writing curriculum for the RRFC CASA Program. Otto Schatz has been passionate about music for as long as they can remember. Born in Brooklyn, their father was instrumental in providing a diverse palette of genres and styles to listen to at an early age that instilled a desire to explore that drives them to this day. They explored basic guitar playing during the tail end of high school, but once they took a Recording & Mixing Music class at Bennington College, Otto was hooked into the world of production completely. They first got started using Pro Tools to learn multi-tracking, microphone placement, and signal flow to achieve proper and balanced recordings for a quality mix. Later in their studies, Otto was introduced to Ableton Live which became their primary means of producing and composing. Being directly influenced by Extreme Metal, Industrial Noise, Ambient and Electronic Music, Ableton allowed for the audio manipulation workflow that they needed to actualize their creative voice to explore darker, and sometimes ethereal, soundscapes. Otto worked as a Recording Studio Assistant for their school's regular studio and electronic studio where they tutored fellow students and made sure the studios were running efficiently. This role also gave them experience doing live sound for school events and live performances. Outside of college, Otto worked at a recording studio in New York City and has collaborated with various artists in different disciplines. Doing original compositions and sound design, they have worked doing short films, dance, theater, podcasts, and a video game next to production work for other musicians and their own compositions. After they earned their bachelor’s degree in Music Composition and Production, Otto moved to Washington State to further pursue their dark take on Ambient music and find more potential artistic collaborators.

Corey Titov has played the drums and piano since his youth. When his dad bought the first Fruity Loops and Rebirth DAW’s, he took to the technology immediately and was producing tracks by the time he reached middle school. From playing drums to doing live shows, to becoming a top ten contender as a battle DJ, music has always been a constant in Corey’s life. 

Since graduating from college, Corey has worked at a number of recording studios with numerous artists including Roccstar, Genevieve Jackson (Michael Jackson’s niece), and AC Burrell who is signed to Lady Gaga’s manager. 

Not one to say no to a challenge, Corey even helped build the studio where Kesha, Future, and Lex Lugar recorded. Thanks to the ample connections he’s built in music licensing, he’s placed his music production with powerhouses such as Disney, UFC, BMG, Lifetime, Fox, CBS, and Lions Gate, and many more. He currently has countless cues on TV Show's airing all over the world and counts himself as blessed and fortunate to have the talent and drive to do great work.  

Chicago-born native Samuel Zulfer has had a passion for music all his life. After learning to play guitar and bass in his early teens, he discovered his first DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) at 16. His love for EDM only fueled his fascination with using the latest digital technologies to create soul-stirring dance music. This passion then led Sammy to begin composing original electronic tracks under the alias BigSammyZ.

During his time studying at the Columbia College Chicago in their Audio Design & Production department, Sam further developed his studio recording and mixing talents and in-depth knowledge of mic uses and techniques. Having proven his worth, he landed a sought-after position as the Audio Production Tutor at the very same college where he was actively enrolled as a student! In this position he helped incoming students comprehend the oftentimes mystifying aspects of recording such as signal flow, compression, and certain capabilities within the Pro Tools environment.

While Sammy continued to advance in his skills as an electronic music producer, he made the jump from Reason into Ableton. He went on to collaborate with an array of DJ/Producers in the Chicago area. Many have gone on to play huge music festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Spring Awakening Music Festival, Ultra Miami, and more. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago, Sam made the move across the country to Los Angeles and into RRFC headquarters. When Sam isn’t working on his own unique music as BigSammyZ, he’s advising and assisting tomorrow’s pros as an Academic Facilitator for Recording Connection. Sam is deeply committed to empowering today’s creatives with the solid skills and real world insight they need to succeed.

Will is an artist, music producer, audio engineer, and sound designer that graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor degree in Audio Engineering, minor in Music Business. He's had the pleasure of working as a freelance audio engineer editing audio books, mixing, and mastering, as well as producing for artists in the Nashville hip hop and R&B scene.
