Many children can find some sensory information incredibly overwhelming and this assessment seeks to narrow down which sensory areas are the most upsetting for the individual as well as suggesting ways to minimise those effects in school. This assessment doesn't involve the child themselves, it requires the knowledge of someone who knows the child well and is able to answer questions regarding the child's reactions to stimuli such as noise, smell and taste.
