Lesley Oberstat
Lesley came to work at Attitude in 2017 but has been working in the dance retail business since 2006. She started at Stage Center in Monroe, CT where she later became the assistant manager. She trained at Monroe Dance Academy, where she studied ballet, classical modern, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical.
Lesley has been fitting pointe shoes since 2013 and continues to hone her skills under Kristin’s guidance. Although she enjoys all aspects of the business, fitting pointe shoes is always a source of excitement and pride. Every fitting is unique, and taking the time to address the individual dancer’s needs is Lesley’s top priority.
She received her BBA in accounting from Western CT State University in 2009 and also works as a financial planning assistant at Palisades Hudson Financial Group. Dance will always be her true passion, and she is a valued member of the Attitude team.
Silvia Laracca

Silvia Laracca
Silvia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance at Dean College. She studied ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, as well as dance related academics such as creative movement, dance history, pedagogy, kinesiology, and dance composition.
Silvia was a part of Dean College’s “Company”, where she performed in an annual concert with select group of dancers, and Dean’s best choreographers. She worked with Gregory King, Jeremy Ruth-Howes, Robbie Mulrey, Julianne O’Brien Pederson, Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Todd Shanks, and William “Bill” Evans.
Silvia completed an independent study with Joan Phelps Palladino where she wrote, “The Fascination of Auditioning”, directed towards students who are looking to expand their knowledge on upcoming dance auditions all over the U.S.
Silvia is a long time dance assistant for the Dance Teacher Web Live Convention hosted in Las Vegas, NV and is a member of their dance faculty. She is also currently a dance instructor and choreographer at D’valda and Sirico Dance & Music Center in Fairfield, Ct and The Spot in Norwalk, CT.
Silvia has been working at Attitude since 2016 and is able to apply her many years of training and teaching to each of her pointe shoe fittings.
Kristin Ruggieri

Kristin Ruggieri
Kristin received her formal training at The Academy of Ballet Etudes in Norwalk. She continued her studies at the Joffrey School, and with renowned teachers Finis Jhung and David Howard. Kristin was a scholarship student at SUNY Purchase’s esteemed dance department and also studied musical theater and dance on scholarship at Marymount Manhattan College. She has performed soloist roles in Nutcracker, Coppelia, Pas de Quatre, La Sylphide, La Boutique Fantasque, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty and many other classical and contemporary ballets. In 2007 she had the privilege of appearing in George Balanchine’s Who Cares, and was coached by Judith Fugate. Kristin has been teaching since 1994 at local schools including The Academy of Ballet Etudes and Just Dance, and was the owner of Easton Dance Academy from 2001-2012. Teaching has always been Kristin’s main focus and passion and she applies her knowledge, experience and expertise as a dancer and teacher to each pointe shoe fitting. Since opening in 2003, she has established a reputation that attracts students from as far away as New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Toronto and Manhattan.
