Select this option for children aged one to 14 years. Tests are conducted according to the child’s age and cognitive levels. Vision is assessed in relation to the child’s development; particularly childhood myopia, astigmatism and lazy eyes (amblyopia). If you are seeking expert opinion on vision-related learning challenges, special needs and/or vision therapy,  please choose Functional Vision Evaluation instead. Select this option for routine eye checks for adults, which are typically recommended on a yearly basis. The routine tests examines digital eyestrain and age-related eye and vision issues, such as presbyopia, glaucoma and cataracts. Additional tests to get a prescription for spectacles, contact lenses, etc; and/or to examine the corneal health, retinal health (e.g. diabetic eye examination), etc.If you are seeking an expert opinion on amblyopia and/or strabismus, please choose Functional Vision Evaluation instead as you will need more time for further investigative tests.

Select this option to explore the clinical applications of precision colour filters and colour therapy. This option is  only available to current patients and not new patients. If you select this option, you will be automatically be scheduled to see the consultant.

Select this option to determine your child’s visual perceptual strengths and weaknesses in relation to learning. It is a comprehensive assessment of visual analysis and processing skills, including: Visual Discrimination, Visual Memory, Spatial Relationships, Form Constancy, Sequential Memory, Visual Figure-Ground and Visual Closure.

Select this option for advanced diagnostic tests of the cornea to optimise the fitting of contact lenses for adults and children, including keratoconus, post-lasik regression, high astigmatism, presbyopia, etc. 

Select this option to assess the type and extent of colour vision deficiency based on Farnsworth and L’anthony Methods. If you are a new patient, you will automatically be assigned to see a consultant. 

Select this option for dry eye diagnostics to check the quality and stability of your tear film. 

Select this option for checking for glaucoma. This is essential if you have elevated eye pressures and/or a family history of glaucoma. Besides getting your eye pressures checked, it is important to assess the optic nerve function and visual field. If you are a new patient, you will be assigned to see the consultant after the tests. 

Select this option to get your routine follow up evaluation for orthokeratology. Please only select this option if you are a current orthok patient here. 

Select this option if you are new to orthokeratology treatment — this is an effective treatment for children myopia control and it is also beneficial to adults too. If this appointment is for your child, please bring along their health booklet (if any). If your child is eligible for the CDA/Baby Bonus Scheme, please bring your CDA card (You must have your PIN) if you wish to choose this mode of payment.

Select this option to book appointment for follow up evaluation to monitor the progression of your child’s myopia. Your child must be enrolled on the Children Myopia Plan for you to book this appointment.

Select this option to book an appointment for aniseikonia testing, to examine field-dependency of aniseikonia which may be associated with anisometropia, eye diseases and postsurgical vision issues; and explore options that may be available for the clinical management of the symptoms associated with aniseikonia.

Select this option if you wish to reorder your contact lenses. Please select your preferred pickup date and time. This service is for current patients only. If you are a new patient, you will be automatically assigned to see a consultant. 

Select this option only if you have already consulted Dr Yap on postconcussive syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, concussion, stroke and low vision. 

Are you experiencing discomfort while wearing contact lenses? Select this option if you wish to book an appointment to assess and get professional advice on contact lens-associated dry eyes. This is an optometry service — please do not select this option if you need to see Dr Yap or a senior consultant.

Get your corneal health checked regularly by the optometrist if you wear contact lenses. Select this option only if you are currently a patient with us and make sure that you are wearing your contact lenses. Please do not select this option if you need an appointment with Dr Yap or the senior consultant.

Select this option only if you are currently undergoing Atropine therapy. If you select this option, your child will be assigned to Dr Yap during the appointment. Children under Atropine therapy should be carefully monitored. While treatment efficacy in terms of myopia control is generally good, approximately 10% of children tend to respond poorly to the treatment. Given the fact that the side-effects are dose dependent, it may be necessary for children to be carefully examined especially if higher treatment dosage or frequency is indicated. Please bring along your child’s health booklet and/or eye exam reports (if any). If your child is eligible for the CDA/Baby Bonus Scheme, please bring your CDA card (You must have your PIN) if you wish to choose this mode of payment.

Select this option only if you are a registered patient for this service. Repeated low level red light therapy (RLRT) is an emerging treatment for children myopia control. Recent research demonstrated slower myopia progression and reduced elongation of the eye over 6-months of treatment. This is an elective treatment in addition to the Children Myopia Plan, so the treatment is carefully applied and monitored at our Paediatric Optometry clinic. Patients who are not currently on the children myopia plan are not eligible for this treatment. If your child is eligible for the CDA/Baby Bonus Scheme, please bring your CDA card (You must have your PIN) if you wish to choose this mode of payment.

Select this option if you (or your child) needs professional advice on vision therapy. The tests concerns the sensory motor aspects of binocular vision, visual tracking and visual processing; and tests will be conducted to determine your (or your child’s) suitability for vision therapy. Please bring along your child’s health booklet (if any) and/or the referral letter from the School Health Service / Health Promotion Board (if any). If your child is eligible for the CDA/Baby Bonus Scheme, please bring your CDA card (You must have your PIN) if you wish to choose this mode of payment.

Select this option to activate your 1-month trial which consist of one pair of treatment retainer lenses (that must be returned at the end of the trial), baseline tests (that is necessary to customize your treatment) and follow-up evaluation (that will be necessary in order to optimize the treatment efficacy). This option is only available to patients who have already paid for the trial.  Step 1. Baseline tests Your cornea is the front of your eyes. Its shape will be topographically mapped so that your lenses can be customized to your eyes. Baseline refraction and the eye’s axial length are taken so that you can monitor and chart your treatment progress. Step 2. Activation (Choose Appointment Date)This is your big day! This is your first time to apply the lenses on your eyes and you will get to learn how to use these lenses. Step 3. Follow up evaluation and confirmationBefore shouting out Success!, it’s time to check your treatment’s efficacy carefully. Even if you can see clearly, that is not enough because your eyes will need to be re-checked to ensure that your eyes gets the most optimal treatment. Yes!  That’s when you can be more sure about your Long-term Success with the treatment, so that you can begin your journey in orthokeratology confidently.
