I have been attracted to physical activities and the outdoors my entire life. My enthusiasm towards fitness, a belief in being aware of each moment, and the search for a path that combines these brought me to yoga. I believe in mind-body synergy. Yoga taught me a way of life deeply rooted in this philosophy. Barefoot on the mat is what feels closest to the heart. Teaching yoga is an effort to give the best of my knowledge and experience to students seeking holistic well-being. Yoga is a practice that transformed my life! As a kid, I loved home-cooked food and watching television. I didn’t engage in much physical activity, preferring to spend my time gaming and eating. When I turned 18, I weighed140 kgs (308 lbs)! I was unhappy and decided to explore yoga after hearing how it helped others achieve more balance and health. It took 6 months to perfect the first techniques and 9 months of constant practice to bring my awareness to my hunger and underlying metabolism. I eventually shed 63 kgs (139 lbs) and now observe a healthy mind/body balance through the practice of mediation, breath work and asanas.
Yoga has been an integral part of my life for ten years. I am especially passionate about breath work, subtle energy channeling and expansion practices (Bandhas and Mudras) and enjoy teaching others. I work with individuals as well as companies like HAL, L.M. Wind Power, ICICI Bank, Alshaya group, Cipla and the Bank of Baroda.
